RAF Question

I'll be short and sweet: I have a main account with an existing 90 DK I'd like to use to boost a couple of 2-3 character teams. I know that if a mob is trivial to either toon linked in an RAF chain, the XP is not tripled. I would like the mount on my 90's account, however. Is this possible without a character transfer?

So, to clarify: if existing account is labeled as 'X', then if I link X -> A -> B, if I boost using X, would A and B still gain triple XP?
