Playing with Mages question.

Here's a general question for all you active Multi-Boxers.

What are the pros and cons of going 3-Mages over 2-Mages, 1 Priest?

Other then the Priest has the heals, which, I'll grant you, is damn nice to have. Can the DPS of a 3rd mage off set the need for that, or is it safer to just use a Priest and let him heal as needed?

What about replacing the Priest with a Shaman or Druid? Both can heal but tend to have better offensive capabilities. Any opinions?

How do you plan to spec the mages? What do you plan on doing with them?

Honestly, I'm not sure. I read and hear a lot about Mages doing some kind of pull system where they draw in a lot of aggro, Root the targets then Blizzard the bunch. But honestly I really can't say, I'm not that experienced yet.

Frost aoe grinding done properly wouldn't require a priest. I would figure out some of your goals and go from there.

The one thing I really like about having a healer in the group is for one they can heal if you really need it and if you should have one of your toons die they can rez them right away instead of your entire team being on hold while you have to run that toon back to the group. You're going to have a toon die here and there from time to time either it may be dc's, afk, or you're trying something more difficult then maybe you should cuz it looks fun :D w/e one of you're toons will surely die at some point. Imo durning those times it's very nice to have a rezzer/healer.

But that's just my personal opinion. 8)
