TL;DR

Soloing Cataclysm normal dungeons. Would 85 MoP geared Paladin, or 85 MoP geared Druid do the job better/faster?

Heya :)

I have mages EXP locked at 85, and I've been running LFD with following groups:
Mage-Druid-Druid-Druid-Druid
Mage-Paladin-Paladin-Paladin-Paladin

Mages are EXP locked because they are half a bar away from 86, and if they ding, they would not be able to queue 80-85 LFD for boosting (and farming Justice Points)
Mages have some MoP gear to make things easier, so I could solo LFD on one mage, while the slaves (all healers atm) could keep the mage alive on overwhelmed pulls.

At some point, all my 5 druids and 5 paladins will reach 85, and then I have to start boosting the dps teams.
Should I have Druid(s) or Paladin(s) to do the job?

Thanks

Actually there was a minor brainfart on this thread.
Naturally I need tank, 3dps, healer for LFD.

But I'll manage the groups like
Druid85-Rogue80-Rogue80-Rogue80-DPSPriest80 or
Paladin85-Rogue80-Rogue80-Rogue80-DPSPriest80 etc..

But is Druid better over Paladin, or vice versa? :)

I love druid tanking as a boxer....its super easy. Not a lot of options for crap to cast.

I have heard that paladins are the better tanks though in endgame. Either pull decent dps in LFR, and both hurt in 2v2.

Only issue i see is gear. Everyone wears leather but the healer. If you lose the priest and pick up another druid you would have a stealth team : )

On leveling new content I had trouble staying alive solo as a druid. You might have to swing him some heals more than the paladin.

I've played both pali and druid tanks, and both are very fun and very easily boxable.
