Are there dungeons or raids that require a minimum number of characters to run? I'm wondering how many characters I should attempt, in order to be able to take advantage of running dungeons (or whatever equivalent is in MH) without PUGs.

It's like Diablo so... it's a single player game that you play with other friends or random people (or just multibox the entire team).

Actually, it's Diablo with MMO elements. There are player hubs with zone chat and guilds (supergroups), etc. There are also group missions, that require other players. I thought I read the minimum is 3 players, but it's hard to find info on this game. The only mention of group missions I can find is on the Wiki:

http://marvelheroes.wikia.com/wiki/Missions

Group Challenges – The goal of group challenges is to navigate an instance and close three “Energy Rifts,” then defeat the super-villain boss occupying that instance. Each group challenge is designed for a group of five player; these challenges will be extremely difficult to solo.

There are Group mission dailies that supposedly give really good rewards. I'm just wondering if I can get away with running just 3 or do you have to run 5 if you want to solo (multi) the group stuff.

Im having issues running more than 3. When i run 4 .. the 4th toon lags behind. i have never had that happen with D3. But it plays a lot like D3.. lots of fun! but nothing more than a side distraction for me atm.. still enjoying EQ2

My specs are more than enough I .. i72600K .. 16gigs ram.. 580gtx classified 3gb video etc.. I thought max group was 4.. if its 5, i need to get it working for 5 8)

I have the same specs for my rig, so I'm disappointed that it won't easily run 5.

Gotcha. I was under the impression it was "just like Diablo" from what I had heard, but I stand corrected. :)

It's difficult for anyone to know what this really means because you only mention "the 4th toon lags behind" without giving any details of what video settings or FPS you're trying to run at. I mean, if you're trying to run every client at 2560x1440 with maxed video settings @ 60FPS I think it's safe to say that a GTX 580 isn't going to cut it, but you didn't divulge that information.

If you need help identifying your bottleneck, then you should check out this page (http://isboxer.com/wiki/HOWTO:Tweak_your_framerate#Identifying_framerate_b ottlenecks).

Sorry.. i had posted this is isboxer forums and Lax gave me some tips.. BUT what i found out is it was not my PC.. it was the toon. I was playing Ironman..Hawkeye, Storm and Scarlet Witch..the scarlet witch and hawkeye both would lag behind ( run slower ). I made a new team of ironman and 4 ( added a 5th account ) Storms and they stay together.

I do have heavy lag/low fps in heavy combat areas with lots of mobs and players around, which can cause the team to separate at times. I have all settings on lowest settings. All windows are 1920x1080. In isboxer i have tried round robin and all cpus for all windows.

Yeah I would probably use all cores/all instances if you're running 5 in an Action RPG, since you wont have an even distribution of CPU cores to game instances with round-robin (unless you have a mythical 5-core CPU). I believe I mentioned this on the isboxer.com thread but Diablo 3 players report that they stay together better when the FPS settings are the same for foreground/background (e.g. 30/30 instead of 60/30). I will be adjusting the defaults for Marvel Heroes as needed

Also, I must say this game is pretty fun from what I've played so far. Got my 3x Storm up to level 11 or so :)

i ended up going with 3. I can do 5 but 3 just feels better. What seems to separate the teams the most are objects and collisions with npcs/mobs..so 3 is just easier to manage. Im using Ironman ( since i paid 20 bucks for the damn thing lol ) and two storms.

I was reading that Deadpool is OP.. so if i stick it out, i might try 3 of him next ( hes 20 bucks as well ) maybe ill get lucky on one or two accounts and get him as a drop. I am trying to ride the FTP as much as I can, as long as I can stand it, but im already tempted to buy more "stash" space hehe.
