Good evening,
So I have 7 eve accounts... I was playing 6 and then picked up a 7th, right before I took a break last time. The 7th trained for a bit while I just logged in to skill swap.
So I've only ever played 6, and that was all high sec mining.
I have missioned with 5.
I am wondering how many characters you guys are running and what you're doing with them.
I was considering going up to 10 but stopped myself as I dont have any real reason other than a love for nice round numbers =D
With the 7 I was thinking of trying to run two missions at once 3 and 3 and then salvage with the 7th... but that might be too much IO for me to handle, not sure.
Id be happy to hear what you guys are up to.
i currently use 13 Accounts.
PVP is currently on going thing, trying to get at least 5 or 6 with OGB to be able to pvp effectively. Ratting with all 13 at once is really not an issue - however not as effective.
I primarily rat with only 4 toons to get "decent" isk per hour.
For the most part i do heavy production, so i use my team primarily to mine 10 Miners 1 Booster 1 Hauler, 1 Scout/Defense.
4 Accounts are doubled up with High-sec Freighter/Trader toons so i can High-sec trade while living in nullsec.

Currently running 9 accounts. I do ratting, mining, and the occasional oddball of pvp. Currently living in nullsec.
I'm relatively new to the game, so my skill points are pretty low and my operations are not at peak efficiency.

I've just resubbed 4 accounts and am considering getting back to nullsec.
Things have changed quite a bit since I last played, my Tengu now takes an AGE to kill BS's and with the drone changes my Domi's are a bit sub par. Just need to refigure things out again, with all my stuff still in null I don't have much in hisec to play with.
Just have to see how L4's go for now...
Is your stuff locked out in nullsec? if so where at, which alliance/corp holds it?

It was held in tribal territory. But it was only a bunch of Domi's, a Raven and 6 Drakes. I repackaged them all and didn't get shafted too much on isk. The only blow was selling my Orca for 450mil when it was worth 600+mil. But I'm out of there now and I've managed to link up with a couple of old corpies, so hopefully I should have a new home soon :)
I'm running 10 accounts right now, all mining in null sec. I have a rorqual running perfect boosts, an orca for hauling and 8 hulks with t1 crystals (training t2 atm).
Planning on adding at least another 2 when odyssey comes out.

8 accounts.
2 Main loltastic SP chars, living in wspace.
1 Orca Char.
5 Mackinaw chars for mining in nullsec, on same accounts 5 drake/naga alts, currently training for gila/RRdomi for either wspace or lvl 5s. Previously used them in FW, but minmatar tier just tanked so vOv.

2 Currently mining while I learn the game. Finished the tutorial and the first round of 10 from the first career agent. Need to finish up the other career agents.
From what I've seen so far, mining isn't really worth it unless you're running a blob of accounts. Combat/PvP is more fun and interesting anyway, and is better suited for lower numbers.

Jwoz,
How much automation do you use running your 10 mining, if you dont mind my asking. Oops automation is a bad word, what I mean is... are you mouse broadcasting?
I mine with 6 but honestly I've done it so long and its so slow that I generally just cycle through targets to drag to cans rather than trying to setup any sort of broadcasting.
I was thinking of going to 10 but have never done any broadcasting in Eve.
As far as mouse broadcasting goes, I use it for warps and then to drag ore to cans from my hulks.
You can do it without broadcasting mouse clicks at all. The amount of time I save doing a mass drag to cans, is probably about 20seconds, less than a strip miner cycle (mine run at about 104 seconds with my booster running).
I think my biggest recommendation for anyone who is mining on a large scale is GO TO NULL SEC. I have been playing for about 6 months now, and I started out doing asteroids in high sec. To me that was hell. The Roids pop every two seconds, and every time I saw someone warp to the belt I was nervous that I was going to get ganked. Null sec is incredibly safe.... if your willing to pay attention to local. Sure you get cloaky campers every once in a while, but to me the benefits out weigh the negatives. I have never lost a ship while mining to a gank in null sec (I did however lose one hulk and 2 retrievers to rats, however it was just me being dumb and having the wrong fit) I have lost ships mining in high-sec to suicide gankers.
Another thing I wish I had done earlier is: train mining crystals! I thought it would be too much of a hassle switching crystals constantly, but the amount of yield bonus you get is just too good to pass up.
To me the only way you can run more than 6 accounts mining in high-sec is if you are doing ice, which right now is really good. Its hard to say if it will be as good once the patch comes out.
Here is a nice article about null sec belts:

If anyone has any questions about null-sec mining feel free to send me a message on the forums, and ill try to answer as best as i can.

I upgraded to 5 accounts living in Null Sec mining and doing PI. I just setup about 20 planets with PI for POS fuel. I hope to pay for my accounts plex with mining and PI. After that I will explore other things. Training is so long to reach a goal. I have 4 miners one guy trying for an Orca. They are all pretty new but even with ventures mining in null you make money. So far I love the game. The best thing about the game is you can pay for it with in game money making it free every month.

Good thing that the orca training is getting cut down drastically in 3 weeks. If you have already started training for it may want to review where you can get some of that time back by training the boosting skills more so then the mining barge skills.

Where is the changes to training listed? I would love to have a cut down on that long road of training.

Orca is coming down to under 18 days by replacing Mining Barge 5 with ORE Industrial 3...

The Iteron Mark V is going down a ton too. That will be a good hauler ship with the max cap for alts.

Decided F it and grabbed the last 3 while power of 2 was still going... that rounds to 10.
Next step is for work to stop pwning me so I can get on and actually play them.
In the meantime, they train mining stuff.

So I've got the 10 cooking... I have 5 who are well trained for combat, 2 who are well trained for mining but no combat yet, and the 3 i just got who are not well trained in anything.
I am trying to decide how to set this up. For mining I am planning on splitting into 2 groups, 4 miners and 1 orca each.
For missioning, I am not sure if I should stick to the same thing... 10 is obviously way too much for an L4, but I am not interested in doing any content beyond l4s for now.
I was thinking of 3 3 man groups each doing their own mission, but I dont know if I will be able to control that effectively or not. 2 4 man groups with 2 dedicated salvagers might make more sense, and just pad the setup for added survivability.
Do you guys have experience doing more than 1 mission at once? Thoughts?
