Rift has a great deal with Raptr.

So hear it is, You go and instal Raptr (I've been using it for a few months now) This logs your time in games, and tracks achievements. Think Steam for example. Anyways, after 16 hours of play or so, with Rift lite, they give you a free copy of the game.

I've already got one copy, created another Raptr account, and am working on the second. Great idea for those of us who want to Multibox Rift, but haven't got into it too far yet.

Yes, it is legit. I got two keys from playing and other people on here have reported getting keys also. I haven't registered them yet, but I haven't heard of any issues getting them to work. If you do install Raptr, make sure you get it to recognize the game and launch it manually through the menu you get from right clicking the Raptr icon in your taskbar. You also need to be in game and not sitting at the launcher for it to register time. Once I did that the hours racked up without issue.

Nice.. a cheap way to get back into the game with expansions. Still plugging away at EQ2.. but fully intend to revisit Rift in the future.. might get on long enough to take advantage of this deal.

Can you uninstall it after you have the keys? Feels borderline spyware, you're just agreeing to install it.

Yeah, it is definitely a bit like spyware as it recognizes all the games you have on your hard drive minutes after installation and tracks whichever game you are playing. I looked into it a bit and the company looked to be reasonable stewards of this info - not giving or selling the info to others but using it to recommend games you may like based on your usage. It is also big on becoming another social network (focused on gamers), letting you see what your "friends" are playing, allowing in-game chat, etc (something I'm not really into).

The keys are legit though, you can uninstall Raptr with no ill effects after you obtain them. I talked with a Raptr customer service rep for a bit and they seem like a reasonable company that made a deal with Rift that grows both of their customer bases. They said their offer wasn't meant to give people multiple free keys, though, so I stopped obtaining them once I found this out and bought a couple expansions outright. Still, they saved me some dough.

Im just trying to get some accounts up and running for free with the app. as for shard I wouldnt worry to much as the transfers are free unless they bang that in the cash shop at f2p.

Am on bloodiron its a pvp demo shard so you have to move off it when you buy the game am about 5 more hours for a tree copy.


Playing 5 Mages i love the public groups. had a game master talk to me after he dropped a boss on top of me to check to see if i was a bot. (did not take any SS or they did not work like in wow or i car't find them) he said ya we seen a lot of boxers the last few weeks not sure why.......

If anyone is interested, I've got a small guild started on Shatterbone. Just me so far, but two Vaults. I'd be more than happy to turn it into a safe haven for us, and even turn over leadership if someone has more experience leading a MB guild.

MiRai, that is an awesome buy. I managed to get accounts going during the Raptr thing so I'm good, But I wonder if they have a better deal if one is a prime member. ( I loves me some amazon Prime.)

I actually bought one of the Amazon digital versions of basic Rift to start Ascend a Friend from a registered account for my other four trial copies.

At this point, though, I'm guessing that buying Storm Legion for $19.99 will be a better option. The basic game comes with it plus the new souls plus 30 days free game time (or F2P credit for a month at this point I guess). Amazon offers it for that price, but the estimated delivery date is weeks away. Gamespot has the same price if you can find enough local copies.

OohRah that Marine. Part of a proud tradition for me. My Uncle Dale was part of Carlsons Raiders in WW2, and my best friends Father, Bill Sumrall up the Claremore way, Pretty much raised me himself. He was a Leather neck with ole Chesty, in NK and served time in 'Nam also.

I have a nephew now who is following his uncle Steve with the Corp, leaving for Pendleton this summer.

funny thing is, My highest level toon, Joined a guild before all of this, to help out this Canadian guy I know. I just through the other guild together, as a private bank type thing, with thoughts of going MB if we got some interest.

I wasn't sure what mount you needed, so I just went with the plat for the medium one, I can try and get ya more Plat if you need it. Or of course, Once we sync up, I think I have about 80 Plat in the GB you can use.
