New 5 boxer!

I have a 70 lock already on one acct. and I will use him to run lowbies through instances etc. I am really etc about this. Got my keyclone and maximizer working. I know 5 locks is not the perfect set up but I have a dream of seeing all those damn dots on mobs. hehe. Then after I get some gear I wanna see all those HUGE crits when I go destro. Hoping I can do 5 mans. We will see.

So I had a couple questions. I wanted to get as much as I could out of the refer a friend program. I have my MAIN which is a couple year old acct and then my four alts. What is the best way to do the refer a friend here. Since all these are going to be in my name can the same person receive more then one month free? I was thinking refer a friend from my main to myself and then use that to activate one of my alts and then that alt to another alt etc. I checked the ref. a friend program and couldn't find much on it. Nothing specific.

Second I want to create a guild for my alt's. and wanted some idea's. I thought " I am not botting" or something like that would be kinda funny. :)

I dont know anything about the refer a friend program. However, I do know on one of my servers Scilla there is a Horde player that 5 man locks and he is Kick Ass!

As far as guild names, no idea. Would need to know more about your current names, race, gender, etc ....

yes.. recruit-a-friend does work.... and there is no limit that i have found on referrals. you do have a limit of 3 or 5 outstanding recruit-a-friends at a time.

what you suggested would be the best plan. send a recruit-a-friend (RAF) from your main to cloneA... then after cloneA signs up... from cloneA to cloneB... and so on. this should make it so you play for free for the next 2 months (1st month free plus 1 month for a referral)

Undead, Male, Warlocks. My main 70 lock is named DarkPippin (may change it to SithPippin but would break a lot of peeps friends list :( ) and all my alts are name sithpippin with a differnt ascii "i".

Do you happen to remember any of the locks names so I can check them out? In what way are they kicking ass.

I can do this immediately then huh? This would REALLY help in getting the wife off my back. She was not happy on me spending 86 bucks today and when that 75 bucks hits she is going to flip.

Ok the quick guild name I would come up with would be "We be Pipping". Kind like "We be Pimping" I dont know just the 1st thing that comes to mind ... anyway ...

The warlocks on the server I just remmebered them lvling very fast and on a pvp server pretty much destroyed anything in thier path. Mind you this was a server with very few multiboxers. I cant remmeber thier names, it has been a couple of months since I have played there. I can just recall a friend on mine saying he was pvping in an area then the warlocks showed up and pretty much killed everyone pretty fast. I never dared to even go close to the guys in fear of being camped for an eternity .... I hope that helps you better understand thier "Kick Ass" factor.

5 warlocks can wreck old world 5-man content and destroy in BGs. I'm not sure about BC instances, but I'm sure all but Achenai Crypts could be done (and maybe even that with Drain Life spam). 5 Warlocks would probably be unable to do any Heroics, even with a priest.

For fun, I would level a Holy or Shadow Priest with your 4 warlocks and skip out on using the 70 lock for powerleveling purposes. Plus then you'd have a 70 priest on your main's account :p

Warlocks are a pain in the ass to powerlevel with. I tried with my S3 70 (I realise PvE gear might have been better) and I just found it too much a pain in the ass and not very fun at all. Much more fun to just level the 5-man group from scratch in instances and kill quests, etc.

Its been so long ago that I cant remember which server I knew that name on. I do remember this Pippin as being into PVP. Good luck on ur boxing choice. I have another question for you. So I had already created my max number of trial accts. You can only create 4 or 5 before and I did the refer program. So how do I go about doing this still?

Suggestion:

Roll 3x Locks + 1 Shadow Priest.

Group the 4 younglings for quests or even grindage. Have your 70 Main follow along behind.

Now, your lowbie team needs to 'tag' mobs. Power Word: Shield the leader up for a nice massive train pull first. I suggest a very fast Dagger honestly, just zip around the newbie zone poking at shit. You need to do a single point of damage, that's all. As soon as you have tagged a mob... have 70 send pet to flatten it. The 70 must not cast a player spell/ability... only pet attacks/abilities won't gimp exp.

As long as there are 3+ players in that lowbie group the pet takes zero exp away. I think the dagger would work fastest for tagging with a Warlock since there's not really any instant damage.

If you load them up on STA gear for survivability and you think you can handle large group, I'd imagine a Felguard's Cleave could steamroll whole packs of tagged mobs. If it doesn't it will at least taunt em off you. Later on, when his killing slows a little, you Drain back up and move along.

As a guide, use any of the spots you see around that Mages/Prot Pallies gush over. You're looking for maximum mob density.

Just an idea!

PS - I have done this for a bunch of toons with my Hunter in the past, it works awesome. Gorrila Thunderstomp in particular is a great AoE pet skill for ripping through lowbie tagged mobs.

Oh, and if yer serious about PVE and 5-Manning, just drop a Lock for a Pally. Spec him Protection and use him to run around tagging stuff. You can AoE like nobody's biznass this way for leveling then re-tool builds etc when you get to 60.

Tankadin, S-Priest, 3x Locks would be pretty nice indeed.

If you change a character's name, it changes on peoples' friends lists too so you wouldn't lose contact with anybody.
