I keep seeing this on the WOW forums. Will someone please enlighten me if there is a true alternative to /follow that isn't a handicap? You would think of all places it would be listed here so I keep telling them on the forums that there is no alternative, am I wrong?

There is a silly thing where you summon a traveller mammoth and IWT the vendor... But, that's kinda silly. IMO.

The alternative to /follow is playing 1 character. That is your only option that is not plagued with fail.

The mammoth thing is not that bad IWT works at a longer range then follow ......
And to be complete as mentioned the vendor for soul shards or whatever
And I THINK you can "click to mount" a multipple mount and if its moving you will follow
Jade focus lens to face (also some priest spell auto faces target).
And of course IWT on your oppenets (pure casters will IWT at 30 yards at least on boss mobs).

I've seen several things that people think is an "alternative" ranging from impractical {passing movement to all, click to move, mammoths} to totally against the rules.
If you really, really wanted to make it work, I suppose you could use a combination of mouse-passing for C2M and assist + IWT to move into range on an enemy, but you still have no way to gather up your slaves and get them all positioned to move anywhere. Once you're scattered, you're reduced to manually repositioning your slaves before you can attempt any sort of travel again because you have no means of follow to get them all facing in the same direction again.

Can IsBoxer send a key to set my camera view and then enable mouse broadcasting, then right click broadcast to all, then turn off mouse broadcasting? And have all of that sent from right mouse button.
I am guessing no else we'd be doing that already.

You can make a mapped key.
You can give it Right Click, as the hotkey to activate it.
Step One
Named macro action - You can set view on press.
Send Next Click Action...
The same view isn't going to be that perfect thought.
Even if you were to /Follow (in the world, where you can), for quite a distance in a straight line.
And then you were to enable mouse repeater/broadcast, and use both mouse buttons for forward running...
Over time, the toons split despite everyone all moving forward and everyone seemingly facing the exact same direction when you started.
So if you sync your camera views...
It is going to appear that they're all facing the same way.
And over a short distance, they will be.
But the more you use it, the more out of sync they're going to be.
And you're not going to have a good option to regroup the toons, to sync them up.
Or to recover from a fear.
Or to move them from A to B, once combat is over and they've been IWT'ing a series of targets until it died.

exactly what Ualaa said. I played around with this very thing , last night, with Keyclone and Pwnboxer. (sigh, Time to send LAX some $$ LOL) IT sounds real good in theory, but it just doesn't work since we can not syn up the toons perfectly to start with.

I am sure after a teleport or hearth they will be in perfect sync. Limited use to be sure but there are times of perfect sycn, also I would imagine on logging into the instance you are in perfect sync.
I had a hardware hookup of my mouse to all six computers and you can set mouse travel time in a file to get perfect sync over multiple computer, and I play in full screen. My mouse software stoped working a few weeks ago so I went to Input Director but click to move might have some possibilites. I could have tested it a few weeks ago but cant right now. You can also spam your camera in a macro to be in sync all the time also:
/console cameraPitchSmoothSpeed "22.5"
/console cameraYawSmoothSpeed "110"
/console cameraTerrainTilt "1"
/console cameraWaterCollision "0"
/console cameraPivot "0"
/console cameraDistanceMax "30"
I am sure Lax can come up with a software solution to having all accounts camera sync and broadcasting the mouse position to all accounts, it would be usefull to anyone who can render all their accounts full resolution (I can't I would be limited to six). It might be a grey area but if in fact they are not out to eliminate boxers a blue might give his acceptance of this in light of /follow being broken.
