Intel i7 vs AMD 8 core?

I am running an AMD 8000 CPU on my main PC now, however I am looking to upgrade my 2nd PC from an AMD 6 core to something faster.

I am happy with the FX 8000 as it can run 10 + clients smoothly, only running into issues around 13-14. I dont think its my GPU being the bottleneck, as the VRAM usage is only about 1gb out of the 2gb available.

What chip would you recommend?

Intel, Always had Intel and recommend them to everyone of my clients. Render Machines all use Intel. But AMD is good for price, If your thinking a extra core will make more WoW's run smoother thats wrong. I can run 20+ WoW's with the i7 at 4.8ghz
