hey guys,

i am thinking about t buy a new grafic board because my current one is killing me and my nerves!
I am running with a GTX 560 TI (i guess noname) and the ventilator is soooo damn loud. I already played a bit with MSI Afterburner but the board itself is getting to hot so i can't tune down the ventilator :-/
The grafic power is enough for my 5 boxing ... so this wouldn't be the issue ...

And now i am thinking about to buy a Asus GTX 660 but which version?!

ASUS GTX660-DC2-2GD5 GeForce GTX 660 (http://www.hwh.de/Computertechnik/PC-Komponenten/Grafikkarten/ASUS-GTX660-DC2-2GD5-GeForce-GTX-660::1470274.html) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
2048MB GDDR5/ 1500MHz
PCI-E3.0/DVI,HDMI, DP
Chiptakt 980MHz

Speicherinterface 192-bit
max.Verbrauch 150W
DirectX 11.1/Shader 5.0

for 220 Euro

ASUS GTX660-DC2O-2GD5 GeForce GTX 660 (http://www.hwh.de/Computertechnik/PC-Komponenten/Grafikkarten/ASUS-GTX660-DC2O-2GD5-GeForce-GTX-660::1470510.html) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
2048MB GDDR5/ 1500MHz
PCI-E3.0/DVI,HDMI, DP
Chiptakt 1020MHz

Speicherinterface 192-bit
max.Verbrauch 150W
DirectX 11.1/Shader 5.0

for 222 Euro

or the TI-versions

ASUS GTX660-TI-DC2-2GD5 GeForce GTX 660 TI (http://www.hwh.de/Computertechnik/PC-Komponenten/Grafikkarten/ASUS-GTX660-TI-DC2-2GD5-GeForce-GTX-660-TI::1470400.html) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
2048MB GDDR5/ 1502MHz
2xDVI,HDMI, DP
Chiptakt 915MHz

Speicherinterface 192-bit
max.Verbrauch 150W
DirectX 11.1/Shader 5.0

for 285 Euro

ASUS GTX660-TI-DC2O-2GD5 GeForce GTX 660 TI (http://www.hwh.de/Computertechnik/PC-Komponenten/Grafikkarten/ASUS-GTX660-TI-DC2O-2GD5-GeForce-GTX-660-TI::1470410.html) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
2048MB GDDR5/ 1502MHz
2xDVI,HDMI, DP

Chiptakt 1028MHz

Speicherinterface 192-bit
max.Verbrauch 150W
DirectX 11.1/Shader 5.0

for 290 Euro

I can't decide which one would be okay ... i guess the grafic power will be enough from all of them but will be there a big difference for around about 70 Euros?
Would be nice to hear some recomments from you guys ... thanks!

Greetings

If you can find the funds to upgrade to a GTX 670 (http://www.hwh.de/index.php?cPath=641_358_380&Chiphersteller=NVIDIA&Chipsatz=GeForce+GTX+670), you will most likely be much, much happier (assuming the rest of your system can use it). The 660/660Ti only comes with a 192-bit memory interface which really limits how many pixels it can push, otherwise the two 660 models are basically the same thing.

hmm but a gtx 670 is again between 100 and 170 bugs more (depending on which GTX 660-version) ... and like i said before the power is not the big thing.

I am using just a i5-2400 with 3,10 GHz
6GB RAM
and slow SATA harddisks

So i guess a GTX 670 would be more than over the top :-/

Most likely.

what do you think ... would a 192 bit memory interface a complete "downgrade" of my system or the new card will be still better because of more GHz and a doubled GRAM?
I really don't know which facts are more improtant for us as multiboxer :(
