LFR - 5.2 - Sha Weapons - 522 gear - Are you ready?

Hey everyone,

Just curious where everyone is at for 5.2. Also had a question for those on the PTR.

Here are my current stats after being back for about 3 months. Started back in early December.

14 90s in the 480 iLvl range.
8 have their Sha weapons and they are upgraded. Not sure I'll get lucky enough to get the other 6 Sha weapons before 5.2 hits.
4 have their legendary gem. The others are real close. Just need a sigil or two.
Hitting about 50K dps now for most characters after an entire run including single target. For Shamans, DKs, Shadow Priests the dps jumps to the 80-90K range with their AOEs. If I play solo the dps jumps up quite a bit for each class. My Balance druids are still in the 40K range single target. Need to work on their macros some.

Questions.

1. Do you have all your Sha weapons for all characters upgraded and gemmed? Do you care? Are you just going to wait for 5.2?

2. When we start to get iLvl 522 gear from the new faction do you think it will be possible to start multiboxing the normal current raids?

3. Has anyone even attempted a solo 10 man normal yet? Not where you go with one or two other people. Totally solo running 10 characters? It is just not possible yet?

4. When do you think 5.2 will hit? March sometime at this point?

5. Anything else you are doing to get ready for 5.2? I've started saving all my Valor for any 50% off gear I may need to fill in the holes. I am guessing with only three bosses to run each week to gain the new rep we will build up new Valor before needing to spend it on the new 522 gear.

Personally I was so annoyed by blizzard breaking my monk in 5.1 that I'm not going to be around for 5.2 at all.

Awesome job! I only have 5 90's right now and can't solo current raids since I only 5 box. 3 of 5 have Sha Weapons and two of those have gems. My item levels are 482/482/489/482/480 and they are all gemmed, enchanted, and have darkmoon trinkets and maxed professions. I'm working on a second team but they're only level 81. I'm fine with my main team right now because they are all ready for 5.2 LFR. I'm only exalted with shield wall and golden lotus, I want to get them all exalted eventually but dailies suck. If I had more time to play I'd try to 10 box but right now I only get to play about 20 hours a week, less done weeks.


For your other question--I think 5.2 will drop march 6th. In a strange way content will be gated by heart of the swarm lol. ;) since parts of the island are opened up via realm performance like AQ back in the days of vanilla. Or kinda like quel'danas.

I wonder if those 522's from LFR will be better than the 496 Tyrannosaurus weapons for PVP. You lose about 6-7K pvp power but... hmm might have to run the numbers on that.

I thought LFR is going to drop like 504 iLevel and normal 522? Could be wrong, can't look it up right now.

I was able to verify-LFR drops 502, normal 522. :)

Latest update.

Managed to get the Sha sword for my Warrior bringing it to 9 out of 14 who have their Sha weapon. Ran the rogue through everything this morning and nothing again this week, so he's probably not going to get one.

Does anyone know if you start off at neutral with the new rep so you can buy the three 522 items? Or do you need to kill some trash in raids first to get to neutral?

I think you start off neutral, but not positive.

1. Just waiting for 5.2
2. Need avg ilvl of 480 for 5.2 LFR I believe.
3. I think it will be 5.4 before we see boxers doing 5.0 raids. Too many mechanics.
