Ok i have always led with my tank can someone give me some pointers how to lead with my healer. I have seen it on videos and it looks so much better to do it this way.

For melee just take the healer off IWT... basically your melee team will go for what ever you have targeted and will IWT to it. I use all mouse over healing so I will mouse over my grid (when I use it) or the basic WOW party interface. your healer stands around casting and what not and all you do is click a target and then spam your DPS key with ITW on it.

Driving from healer is the best methodology.
Several reasons for this.
1 - Avoid the cluster strat. Only cluster when necessary.
2 - You don't have to choose targets. In-game /target functions do that for you.
3 - You can heal optimally instead of secondary to tanking and grid broadcast.
4 - Debuff monitoring works better.
Only con here is that tank won't be optimally played. I use a DK so yeah.. No problem for me.
My team comp:
DK - Blood
WAR - Arms
SHM - Resto
HNT * 2 - BM
I hotkey an AE broadcast drop which is 2 * explosive traps + D&D.
I then hit my spam button. Misdirect hits tank, tank picks a target, hunters start spamming ST or AE dump (whichever I had selected). 9/10 times the pack lands right in the AE zone.
Both WAR and DK are on IWT so they do their thing.
I have shift and alt modifiers for range and melee respectively. I have a third ctrl just for melee so when cleave bosses are on the menu you can maneuver the melee behind the boss.
Then I have a roundrobin interrupt spam key with a 1.5 second lockout on it. It does the range interrupts first because melee always need a bit to catch up to the target. SHM first, then hunters, then DK then WAR. It has a reset of 15 seconds I think or whatever wind shear is.
Works pretty good. I did all the heroic end time runs driving from the healer. DK or Feral would be my guess as to the best tanks for the job. No idea on paladin. Wouldn't try it with WAR tanking.

ok, im too having some problems driving from the healer, i have been for a while but it causes interruptions.
how can you heal/click heal or manage healing if your toons keep targeting your toon for healing hence stopping dps/tanking.....

you always keep the mob in target so your toons can /assist you and attack / tank your target
then you create macros for each toon like:
/cast [target=toon1] Lesser Healing wave
so you don't need to target toon1 and can stay on your target.
just klick the macro and it will heal the member stated in 'target=...'
alternative:
there had been an addon where you can just click on different spell-icons next to each group member to
cast the spell on the icon on the member, but don't know if this addon is still available.

+1
this works, thank you, something so simple i missed over all this time. (used to drive from tank with pre-nerf cast sequences)
i'll pass on the addon however im happy to re-macro.

question for you if you can answer.
anyway you can add a modifier say, alt? and then click the party members who need healing without changing target like the above macro you advised? if i macro above, i got to create multiples of multiples to cover the whole group healing.

ok sorted it, i've been playing with some mouse over macros and put this together.
#showtooltip healing wave
/cast [target=mouseover, help] healing wave; [target=target, help] healing wave; healing wave
simply, when you mouseover your target, it will cast the spell you keystroke on your target without changing targets.
addition to this, when you dont target a player with mouseover and press the same key it will cast upon yourself!
genius!

You can save a few characters by using [@mouseover][@target], btw
TL;DR: Notes about Healing. My ClickHealing implementation.
Based on 'Like a Pro' method. Healbot plus a semi-transparent-colored grid over it,
with two Click Bars (3x1 and 2x1) assigned to different toons/roles.
Dinamic. Type-of-action oriented. Not class oriented.

Every multiboxer has his own playstyle and I've seen a lot of different creative healing configurations. I use a hybrid method that uses some healing portions as part of the whole team rotation plus a ClickHeal zone where I can micro manage all the healing aspect of the thing, buff/debuff, CC and something else I might need.
I use ISBOXER and my configuration is (again) an hybrid model based on the 'Like a Pro' aproach merged with the multi step rotations model with a bunch of control toggles.
I got rid of all ingame configuration. Everything is set up inside ISBoxer. No macros, no skills on the bars, no bars. If I decide to create a new team or to build a new combo, I litterally just have to create the character set and it's done. Any class, any level, any combo. Press GO and play.
The ClickHeal zone was also built based on the 'Like a Pro' model explained here (http://isboxer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=12528) by Alge and than evolved to a more extense micro management center.
You need a unit frame addon. I used Grid for a long time but I found Grid maximum horizontal size too small to my needs. Now I use Healbot. The true is: this model don't need the addon to activate the skills, it don't have to heal or debuff or whatever. You just need it to monitoring purposes. It's shows the state and the conditions applied to your toons.
The Click Bars are designed over the units frame like Alge described on his post.

As an example of what can be done, I'll take my own setup:
a) I have 2 groups of bars side by side. Group 1 with 3 zones. Group 2 with only 2.
b) Each single zone is able to perform 6 different actions using LEFT MIDDLE AND RIGHT clicks with or without ALT. A total of 30 actions.
The 'Like a Pro' concept relies on virtualization so the actions performed by the bar clicks are dinamic, it means, if I LeftClick zone A, if my healer is a druid he'll cast Rejuve but if my healer is a priest he'll cast Renew or a Shield...
ONCE THE BAR IS SET, ITS ACTIONS WILL CHANGE BASED ON THE TOON YOU'VE LOADED (healer, counter, CCer, etc.)
NOTE: I don't think on skills or spells. I treat them as what they do: HOT, Flash, Great, Decurse, Buff, etc. This way, I can command my toons like this:
"Hey _<dude>_ put a HOT on the fkn tank, decurse, again, flash on him, flash on you, shield the stupid rogue, Damn! Soulstone on you!"
Every toon loaded will know what to do because it was previously set up on ISBoxer. When, for example, I RightClick zone C wich means 'CC the mofo', the lock will call the lady and seduce the mofo, but if the mage is the guy, the mofo will be sheeped, or hexed, or chained, or whatever...
c) Now, why 2 groups? I started with a 1x3 grid. But when I reached MOP dungeons it wasn't enough. Health pool raised lots, mob damage grown proportionally and healing became more intense and toke things to the limit almost everytime: mana problems, multi tasking, click things, while healing like a mad nurse with the 'me or him?' dilemma. So I needed something like an off-healer, let's call him an assistant, a paramedic, to get over control if healer was silenced or oom or died or went to the toilet.
Group 2 (1x2) bar commands a 2ยบ group of toons.
So, Group 1 is mostly healing and cleansing territory. Group 2 is more Plan_B oriented.

As I said, this is just an example based on my own implementation. You'll have to find what fits your playstyle to give you a better multiboxing experience and more fun.
I think the most important thing about all I've wrote is the way how you think your actions when playing. The software routines and variables, key names, buttons, every technical aspect should vanish from your mind when you're playing. And the secret is a planned configuration based on VIRTUALIZATION.
A class/skill implementation will lead you soon to endless keybinding, action bars full of garbage and the inhabilty of reacting fast and efficiently when playing on a more challenging environment.
"Healer, POM and shield the tank!" - That's what you have to think.
ISBoxer will read it like this:
USER(you) alt+leftclicked the GROUP1, zoneA that performs the Mapped Key Action 'TeamHealing2' included in the VirtualHealing KeyMap. Nice! Now ISBOxer checks who's toon(s) have assigned that VirtualHealing is something. He found a guy! JohnThePriest! He has his virtualization set to 'hey looking for VirtualHealing stuff?' Check Level 90 - DiscPriest KeyMap. ISBOXER will look inside that KeyMap seeking the 'TeamHealing2' Mapped Key. Cmon, hurry up! It's there! The Mapped Key performs a Macro Action named 'Prayer of Mending' inside the Priest Set. Gogo! I got it: The macro is /cast [@mouseover] Prayer of Mending.
@Mouseover? Who is mouse hovering now? mmm, mouse is over the guy named SilviaTheWarrior. Ok, send it to WoW!
ingame: JohnThePriest casts Prayer of Mending on SilviaTheWarrior
Now what? The USER(you) rightclicked the GROUP1, zoneA ... GoGo ... ... ...
ingame: JohnThePriest casts Power Word: Shield on SilviaTheWarrior
ISBoxer let us use our own human instincts and skills naturally when playing, this is very rare on a software tool and means creative thinking and very solid knowledge. It reached an upper stage no other multiboxing tool has achieved yet - not even near. So lets dig it and 'get all da fat loot'...
Really??who fck care? Just "sheep the mofo!"

Could you do a quickpaste of your config tron?
Could you do a quickpaste of your config tron?
No. But I can try to answer to any questions you may ask, discuss some particular mechanics or configuration aspect of it. The whole point of my post was meant to inspire people to get deeper inside ISBOXER and multiboxing in general to be able to explore their own ideas to create new or better solutions.
That's what keeps multiboxing alive against all odds. All of us, the good will and pro-activity of some and Lax himself.
I hope you undestand my stance. I too much prefer to help people to understand and to create than just to consume.

I'm familiar with the healing through click bars tutorials, I was just curious what your individual implementation was since you said "any level", most of the early "any level" stuff that people were throwing around a while ago just looked messy and made things excessively complex. I remember that there was work during cata on a complete implementation of macros for all levels and all classes but it was only about 50% filled in when I last checked on the project.

Yes. True. I felt the same as you but I decided to give it a go and now I'm collecting the profit. You really don't need ALL class-level brackets. I just have VirtualHealing implemented for the classes/levels I've played and just the ones I found it was necessary. And the 2nd Group I've mentioned in my post (the ASSISTANT group) is just configured on lev80+ on some particular classes.
I got that 50% filled configuration and I worked on it when I felt something was not like it should. But once done is done! :)
If you want to try a minimal configuration even without having the 'Like a Pro' model implemented. I'll try to explain how to do it fast and easy:
(This is all describid with all detail here -> http://isboxer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=12528)
To simplify, we want a ClickHeal bar with 2 zones where, on each one, you can LeftClick or RightClick.
Zone A will be (HOT,Protect); Zone B (FastHeal,GreaterHeal).
1. Create a KeyMap named Virtual Healing.
2. Create a MappedKey named A_left. This MK has a blank 1 step (no actions).
3. Make 3 copies of this MK and name them: A_right, B_left and B_right.
4. Make a copy of Virtual Healing Key Map and name it Healing.
6. Edit A_left Mapped Key inside Healing and add this 2 actions to Step 1:
Sync Cursor -> All other
Do A_left in Virtual Healing Key Map -> all
7. Copy this actions to the 3 other Mapped Keys changing A_left to the matching MK (A_right, B_left and B_right)
8. To learn how to create the Click Bar go here (http://isboxer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=12528).
In our case we need a 1x2 grid bar assuming healbot/grid is vertical aligned (Alge's tutorial Bar is a 3x1 is horizontal aligned grid).
9. If you have a CLS setup (Like a Pro) you should put the Class-level especific actions inside the corresponding Key Map (ex: 85-90 Disc Priest) but if you don't have like that, just create a more global Key Map and name it whatever you want, for example Priest Stuff (note if you make this lev 90 oriented, obviously a lev 20 priest will fail to POM or POH if you click the proper bar BUT he still be capable of cast a Flash or drop a Shield).
So, even if you have a complete CLS setup, you don't need to program VirtualHealing actions in all bracket KeyMaps. Just assign your lev 20 Priest the 85-90 Disc Priest keymap and he'll get the job done. Got it? :)
Ok, but lets continue supposing we don't have the CLS setup, we created a Priest Stuff Key Map, so what?
Again, copy the 4 Mapped Keys from Virtual Healing to Priest Stuff (do the same to Pala Stuff, Druid Stuff, whatever you need...)
Each of these Mapped Keys are what each class will perform when you right or left click each zone on our ClickBar and once set it's done for all toons for that class.
So, you should be capable of setting that. If you have a CLS setup, you'll have macros for all or the most of the spells, if you don't have it, time to begin to create your Macro Sets :)
10. We configure who are the toons that respond to this Click thing on the Caracter Properties. Look for the tab Virtual Key Maps. If we set 'Virtual Healing Keymap is Priest Stuff', this guy will respond to our clicks on our Bar doing whatever you've programmed in the 4 Priest Stuff Mapped Keys.
NOTE this virtualization healing concept don't apply exclusively to ClickBars. I'll give you a (1-2-3) short example:
Objective: 'R' key is |get ready to battle|
1. Let's create a Mapped Key 'ReadySetGo' inside the Priest Stuff Key Map:
Step 1 will cast POW:Shield on tank
Step 2 will cast POM on tank
By analogy, the 'ReadySetGo' MK inside the Druid Stuff KM will be something like this:
Step 1 will cast Rejuve on tank
Step 2 will cast Lifebloom on tank
etc. etc. etc.
Every toon can take part of this |get ready to battle| plan and when you press 'R' all will be ReadySetGo.
2. Now, lets add the Mapped key 'ReadySetGo' inside the Virtual Healing Key Map, like the others we just did, a single blank step with no actions.
3. The trigger (with R hotkey) can be created anywhere you want (your main DPS Key Map or General Key Map) and should be a Mapped Key containing:
Do Mapped Key ReadySetGo on Virtual Healing
All toons with 'Virtual Healing Keymap is <insert class here> Stuff' set (see 10 on the clickbar example), will be Ready to Battle.
Hope this can be useful.
/cheer
