Jamba Item-Use bug

Hi Jafula,

Originally I (and HPVAC) ran into the problem that with a new team the item bar would not work. The items would not update. You graciously provided us with a fix that did get the item-bar working again by issuing a clear command.

My FPS for this new team that had an issue with the item bar has been about 15. I never knew what the issue was but I finally disabled all addons and turned them on until I found the issue. The Jamba Item-Use component is causing my FPS to go from 60 to 15 for only the toons that had the item bar problem. All other toons can use the item bar just fine and do not suffer in FPS.

Do you have an recommendation on recreating from scratch the new team in Jamba? I created a new toon and he didn't seem to have an issue - I must have done something strange when I created the team that has a problem with the item bar, but at least I'm not alone because HPVAC experienced the same thing!

Have you tried "profiles" and copy from an existing team that has it working correctly?

honestly I wouldn't care about not having the item bar if only the jamba quest tracker allowed the use of quest items like the default blizzard tracker does now

Really? I use Jamba Item Bar for a ton of things - mage water, alterac valley trinket, spells that I don't want to make a macro but I want to cast at the same time with mouse broadcasting.

Dude - problem solved! Nice job! What I did was log in with the broken team with Jamba Item Bar disabled, log out with one toon and enable Item Bar, with that toon that now has Item Bar check to see performance (yep, crappy 15 FPS), copied profile from a team that worked well, instant improvement in performance (60+ FPS), pushed settings for all modules from a toon that had Item Bar disabled (so the toon that has Item Bar working gets all the teams settings, but since Item Bar is disabled on the pushing toon it doesn't overwrite), log out with the other 4 toons and enable Item Bar, push settings from the one toon that has everything perfect.

Long winded way of saying your idea worked and Item Bar is now functional and not destroying my computer. Where were you 88 levels ago?!?

How do you use item bar? I tried and it just filled up with quest junk, but never cleared out for the next quest item. I gave up and disabled it.

The fix worked, thanks. I fixed it in man 5man group, they10man group (same master) and the other 5 toons poisoned the group, ran the fix and it's recovered. Have not seen it since.

I use the item bar all the time as well, not having it for a month or so was a bummer. Especially for low level stuff where items are more annoying.

Actually I "dock" most of my slave ui to it (my addon programmatically aligns bartender, sexycooldown, and then a few other toys above that).

Here is a macro that will use the items on your Jamba Item Bar:

etc.

Really? I use Jamba Item Bar for a ton of things - mage water, alterac valley trinket, spells that I don't want to make a macro but I want to cast at the same time with mouse broadcasting.

I even use it for certain macros, like my Tillers "Big Button (http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/48315-The-Tillers-Farming-Daily-any-tips-on-speeding-the-process?p=371304&viewfull=1#post371304)" {Macro 4}. If you have your macros in the same place in the macro panel across your team, Jamba can grab them and use them from the item bar. This way I can swap around macros I use often enough to need a macro but not enough that I'm willing to use another keybind.

I also set up the item bar with a mouseover region so that I can just click any button on my main instead using keybinds and it sends the appropriate keybind along with /assist to the slaves.

It doesn't clear automatically, but you should just be able to drag the items off the bar after you use them or turn in the quest. The slaves will update to also remove the item.

You can also turn off the part that automatically adds items to the bar and add them manually. You'll still need to remove them manually, but it will keep the item bar from re-adding stuff you've already used.
