View Full Version : ISBoxer Keybinds for Click Bars

Hi all,
so I use ISBoxer click bars for some of my spells and I am setting up some healing click bars and it seems like I run out of available keybinds. For a heal spell for each member of a 5 man team it would require a keybind for each spell, so 3 spells results in 15 keybinds.
I normally put the macros into ISBoxer and so I am wondering is there some other way to do this, or does anyone have a strategy for how to set keybinds for so many spells?
Thanks for any help or insight that you can all provide.

I think the best way is to do the click bars as being over party frames and then it sends sync mouse (for the healer) + @mouseover macro. The guide on how to do that is actually quite brilliant. Here is a long thread about it:

Here's (http://isboxer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=2911&p=12524#p12524) a more recent evolution of essentially the same method which is compatible with the recent Pro system in ISBoxer.

So I re-read the Pro System guide and I am not entirely clear if this methodology will save on keybinds? Or from what I am understanding it is more a methodology for organizing keymaps into virtual sets and then calling them for characters through the Do Macro system?
Is the above advice in Luxlune's reply based on the mouseover heal will save having to setup a single keybind for each character, hence saves a lot of keybinds.

It saves on a bunch of keybinds because through using click bars you can send the spell from all toons just like a repeater region or just from one toon, on RR, without it taking any additional keybinds. You don't need to be using the pro system for your dps set up for this to work, you simply need some sort of healer ATG. I think mentioning the pro system might have confused you.
As I understand it this clickbar provides for four spells, per horizontal button (alges first picture shows three buttons):
left click
right click
ctrl left
ctrl right
Say you were pvping and running four resto druids. Sometimes you want your spell to go to all four (like rejuvenate). So for the "left click" on the click bar you would configure
Left Click:
Target Healers > sync mouse
Target Healers > cast @mouseover rejuvenate
Swiftmend is a cooldown though, so you don't want to blow 4 CDs on one target. You still use one keybind, but rather than the target being all it is just one
Ctrl + Left Click:
Target Healers > sync mouse
Target Healers (round robin) > cast @mouseover Swiftmend
If you were using the pro system, rather than these triggering "swiftmend" or "rejuvenate" specifically, they would trigger "primary hot" and "small cooldown heal" respectively, if you had built a system where all of your healing classes could use it.
This uses just one in game keybind per spell, for the cast @mouseover button.

So I setup a set of heals keymaps which I think is a mixture of the Pro setup and simple straight assigning the character to the keymap.
I tried it out and it all seems to work pretty good. Only issue I seem to have in this new setup (I cleared the config and started fresh) is that shift modifiers does not seem to work as I thought it should, i.e. I selected Alt F4 for a keybind and it closed the current window which is what would normally happen outside of ISBoxer, I added shift to the Alt F4 keybnd, restarted everything it still shut down the current window?

I'm pretty sure alt-f4 can never be used as a keybind for any windows program, not just wow.

So this seems to be working pretty good. With the fresh config I think I will clean up my overall WoW Macros in ISBoxer and try to follow more on the Pro setup for filtering on characters.

Because the Pro system for WoW relies on using WoW Macro Sets in ISBoxer, all the keybinds are defined in ISBoxer and map to a WoW macro defined in the ISBoxer addon. It would be very hard to run out of keybinds using this system.

Yes, this is something I saw when i read the guide and I am going to add my macros into the macro sets breaking them out into the seperate class for each group of macros.
