View Full Version : Bummed out about Scroll of Resurrection
Was a multiboxer 2-3 years back and I stopped playing wow. Recently I thought I'd check out what I've missed for the past couple of years and so I did 10-day trial on all my accounts (as advertised on my battlenet page). Trying to make sure no account was hacked and all inventory/money were intact, i logged in all toons from all accounts. Today, I found out that because of this 10 day trial of cataclysm, my accounts are not eligible anymore for scroll of res. :( :( :( :( I haven't even made a decision whether to sub or not and I already lost out on perks. It's quite strange that Blizzard implements this policy on accounts that are "active" on free game time. Damn.
Put in a support ticket and they replied that they'd be happy to manually make an exception. They only mentioned one account. Not sure if it's for all accounts yet. But that's considerate and promising.

Usually you have to call to make things happen, with a support ticket just giving you an automated response 2 days later. They may have been pretty busy with the expansion.

The live chat, support thing was good for me.
The phone wait was going to be 25+ minutes, once the lines opened (all lines were filled).
The web chat thing took about 3 minutes waiting.
The only thing that was bad, was that I could not see the most recent thing either myself or the customer service person had typed.
So, I explained that, and asked them to type whatever and then to *bump* their comment into my viewable area.
The web chat support was able to do account moves between b.net addresses, which the in-game support cannot do, so it is at the same level as phoning or doing a ticket on the website.
