Hi,

this is what I want to do:

I have 1 desktop pc with windows vista and 1 MacBookPro with Lion (10.7).

I have 2 copies and accounts of Diablo III, so I would like to make use of multiboxing.

Basically, all I need is a keyboard and mouse broadcasting solution via tcp/ip.

It came to my ears, that other people having similar intentions used "Synergy with Broadcast" and "Synergy with Broadcast for mac with command line" in the past. That's all I could find out. Is this what I need? Those threads were more than 2 years old. Does this still work with os 10.7? What exactly do I have to do?

Where can I download those programs?

sorry for my noobish questions, but I really did researches and couldn't find any help.

really looking forward for your assists, thx in advance

I found some newer versions of synergy on this site:

http://synergy-foss.org/download/?list

is this, what i have to install on my pc and mac? do these versions include broadcasting?

You could go with Boot Camp on the Mac.
Which would allow you to install Windows there.

Then run your choice of boxing software, that supports networking between PCs.

Yees, I know I could do that. But it seems like I can make it with just using synergy in a proper way, so I shouldn't give up too early.

I wonder if input director works on macs. Worth a try, its my favorite program.

Allright. I finally made the pc (server) and mac (client) get estabilshed a connection and working the way they are supposed to originally, which means, if i move the cursor from the pc out of it's screen it will appear on the mac and i can also make keyboard inputs on the mac from the keyboard of my pc.

but this is not broadcasting. I need the mouse to be acting on the mac screen and pc screen simultaneously, not in either one of it. Anybody got an idea how to get this managed with synergy 1.4.10? I read about some command line tricks on older versions but... what exactly do i have to do for that and.... is that still working in this version?

I was under the impression that Synergy, Input Director, etc were KM software solutions, not mouse replicators. Where do you see that Synergy is able to broadcast/replicate your mouse cursor across multiple computers at the same time?

I think these guys discussed something similar: http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/8709-Dual-boxing-newb-1-Mac-1-PC

No idea then... I haven't seen anyone try using Synergy for that purpose that I can recall. That thread's date should probably give a hint that it's probably not common practice (if still even being used by anyone to play games with).
