I keep wondering why i don't transfer more gold over that server, In the past thee months I've seen two heads, 3 from throne, 1 of the old naxx metas, two invincibles and an ashes, and aside from the ashes, nothing goes for gold cap. (I actually won an al'akir mount with a bit of 75k with 4 hours till end.)

Per character, yes; but if you transfer a guild you can move up to 1 million at a time.
