View Full Version : [WoW] Which classes can avoid being killed in one GCD?

Hoping some seasoned multiboxing PvPers will help me refine my game. During the ascendance burst, which classes do you avoid if there is another option? For example, DKs have that ability that keeps them alive for a few precious seconds after dying, which means I would likely be better off going after other targets. In similar fashion, globaling a hunter is worth its weight in gold as if you give them any room to breathe they put up that damn deflection.

Any suggestions on which classes to target, strategy for who to avoid if possible, etc? This forum used to have a section for rated arena players where strategies could be shared without the general public having access so they couldn't be countered as easily, but with the lack of arena population in the multiboxing community I believe it was removed.

Enhancement shaman perspective is the most valuable to me, but any ideas and suggestions are welcome.

which class to go after first? I'd say shaman. Or a pally that used its bubble already.

Pallys don't have a chance to use their bubble if you global them, but I see your point.

My post was pretty rambling but I think you answered what I was getting at: what's your kill order? However, with ascendance globaling peeps, the possibilities for the first kill likely revolve around who are you sure will be killed in the burst.

If you can kill anything in one global, then mages/warriors/healers would be my first target.

Def hunter and mage. things that can shut you down and keep you from attacking. youll def want to gib a dps before a healer. better chance of you and your healer surviving against 2 dps 2 heal than 3 dps 1 heal. Just be sure not to let their healers turn in rez masters :P And i have yet to see hardly 1 or 2 dk's that use Purgatory in arena, so i think you could gib them too if you want

Any over extended person is a good target.

Otherwise I go for
1)Warrior / Shamans / Mages / Hunters / Healers
2)Monk/DK
3)SPriest/RetPally/Lock/Rogue are doable but you gotta land everything before they have a chance to react.

When you pop your stuff:

- a rogue can cloak and go stealth (vanish)
- a mage can iceblock + instant ring of frost you and if you run a caster team blink behind you
- a dk can ams
- a druid can barskin + go bear form and displacer beast
- a hunter has double deterrence
- any priest can fade + spectral guise (stealth) + psyfiend (random aoe fear)
- shadow priest has dispersion
- pally has bubble
- lock has a bunch of cd's and shadow fury (aoe stun)
- warrior has mass spell reflect, shockwave and tons of mitigation
- monk: no clue tbh
- shaman ... has not much

For me the lock and shadow priest would be almost every time priority.

I always kill shamans first cos they are weak

I rarely run into boomkins, but when I do if I ignore them they pump out tons of focused damage. I'm finding Druids to be one of the best instant kill as a good one can kite effectively and the last thing you need is to be chasing a toon while 4 others beat you up.

They can also react and kill all of your toons by returning all damage done to their original source with touch of karma.

I went against a monk healer today that had to of been cheating somehow. I had all four shamans beating on him, including ascendance, and I couldn't kill him. I tried multiple times in the same BG and was never able to get him down. Everything that was keeping him alive was instant because I never once saw a cast bar - I was waiting with interrupts. Either they are incredible overpowered or something was amiss. Another interesting point was when I ignored the monk and attacked everyone around, it seemed like he didn't or couldn't heal them for shit. I could kill everything around him, but not the monk himself.

That seems a little fishy, but I am not completely familiar with all the mistweaver abilities just yet.

Probably why, effectively doubles their hp. Although, that is windwalker. But I'm the same as multibocks, not completely familiar with all of their abilities yet.
