If you could only have one mount...

Which mount would you choose? I like ashes of alar due to its rarity and yet everyone knows where it's from, but the thing is massive a bright - I don't want another bullseye on my toons in a BG. The old ZG tiger mount would probably be my choice, but it's no longer available. The black panther does look sleek, though maybe too understated. The white polar bear looks pretty cool, but easy to attain. The spectral wind rider looks great, but not available for alliance and the spectral griffon isn't appealing. Spectral tiger may be the top but the thing is $500 - cant justify that. Currently I use deathwing, which is good but its pretty common.

What say you? I'm not a mount collector, but I don't mind farming for one that will be good in the long term.

I think the JC mount is the best looking mount. ALL my guys ride it 8) I like the ruby one the best, but they all look cool as hell!

For some reason I enjoy the hyppogryph from Cenarion Ward. I like normal sized mounts because the large ones are just too obnoxious. I rarely ever used my Gladiator mounts, not that the first few were even unique looking but a giant dragon just takes up too much room. Ultimately one of the tiger mounts would probably be my favorite once I get to that point of farming more.

The JC mounts can be used by anyone. I like all the JC mounts because they don't have the flapping wings getting in the way when I am trying to click stuff. I like to sit on the terrace spread out doing the JC random mount "slot machine", trying to get the same colors to come up. :)

Main on ashes, slaves on frost-wyrms (ICC 10). The cloud serpents look nice, but they don't syngerize well when the boxers are grouped together. For ground mounts I use the traveling yak on the main and ZA (cata) bears. Mostly because I'm sentimental.

I'm planning to swap to pheonix mounts when I start trying to box the various challenge modes.

I have never really cared about mounts. I don't have any special mounts that are obtainable in game at all.
I did very early on buy a box of Fires of Outlands (WOW TCG game that had the original Spectral Tiger loot cards). In the box I got the Tiger.
I sat on it for almost a month before I decided to use it.

Right now for Ground mounts that is my favorite.
For Flying the new RAF mount is my favorite.

the JC mounts are small ..but the skinniest mount that would be perfect for you is the headless horseman mount.. i alternate between that and my JC mounts.

Would look better under a gnome! But my gnomes are bikers.. they ride choppers when on the ground. That mount looks great though!

I really enjoy my ashes, hilarious to see all the streaks on the screen from 5 of them. Not to mention the "WTFs" from random people. As for ground mount I love the giant chicken! SO AWESOME!.

Do I need to log into my old accounts and browse through their bags to make sure I've "learned" them, because you used to have to just save and click. I'm not seeing the headless horseman as an option anymore. Or the tigers. Or.. a lot of stuff><

They are on the same bnet account I assume? Then you should indeed login the character on the old account as far as I know. In case they are inactive accounts, transferring the toon who earned the mounts to an active account will do as well. It basically works the same like account wide achievements: only after loggin in to a particular character that earned the achievement (progress), it will become account wide.

If they are different bnet accounts, then you should transfer the toon that earned the mount to your new bnet account, but that means that you'll lose the mount on your old bnet.

I use the Headless Horseman mount. It looks cool and it flies. Also it's the only mount I have that does not stay vertical. So if your on a side hill or something you can stand there sticking out at funny angles. Second choice would be the Cenarian Hyppogryph from BC. It looks cool and has a lot of animations. Its always doing something, looking around, stretching, pecking at something.

I would like to get Invincible from the Lich King. And my show off mount is the violet proto drake. They are still pretty rare with the year long quests requirements.

I use the Ony mount for flying and the Swift Razzashi Raptor for ground. My favorites were always the Nether Rays because they were part of my trek to The Exalted (http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/32885-The-5-Who-Were-Taken-to-exalted) but they were bugged for a while so I stopped using them.

I find the Headless Horseman's mount to be the best for both flying and ground work. It doesn't make any noise, doesn't fill up your screens, and fits through doorways.

I don't have Ashes of Alar, but think that would be a great mount to have if you could have anything but only one.

The Vial of the Sands is good.
If it were a non-flying ground mount, when you could not fly, that would be better... if you were restricted to a single mount.

Although there's no way to tell that it was my intention, I was really thinking about which mount peeps would choose in BGs (flying doesn't matter, having a huge target on your head because of 5 massive mounts needs to be taken into consideration).

I generally use the War Bears, in battleground pvp.
Sometimes the Frostwolf Howler.

They're both PvP rewards.
And neither is obnoxious, like some of the purchased mounts.

Basic PVP mounts - frostwolf howlers, war mounts (pvp reward ones). For flyers I use the original swift bats. To my faction I feel it's rude, if not griefing, to run around on grand war mammoths or proto drakes covering up stuff and getting peoples' way, or mounting 5x war mammoths in EoTS or something. And I have no interest in attracting even More attention from the enemy faction. People already know you're multiboxing, no reason to be obnoxious and take up half a town.

hard to say, as I have now 215 lol, just got Onyxian Mount, bang on the 100th Kill, well my daughter got it, on samebnet as my accounts, we both farmed it, she more then myself, I love Ashes, for its unique look, and how it stands out. Its still my fav and most used flyer.

Ground mount, I prefer my spectral or the black panther I use from ZG, just looks awesome, being a hunter and on the black panther, dunno seems to go together.

Minrons heads be great, but overall Id love one of the arena mounts, thats truely rare, but since I never will have such skills to ever get one, its Ashes, Ony, Spectral Tiger + Black Panther mounts. Cant really select one, as I like those 4, and sometimes my kara mount. lol

Tho my boxers use the JC mounts as its easier for ground + flying in the one mount

I use either 10 hog bikes, Kor'kron Annihilator's or Black War Mammoth's, which u can get it for 2k honor points from wintergrasp vendor.
