Hey guys,

So I want to farm JP so I can have multiples of the BOA gear to level multiple groups.

I know BOA gear isn't necessary, but I hate questing and BOA makes instancing a lot faster.

I figure the best way to farm BOA gear is by capping xp at 85 and farming heroic Cata dungeons. But my question is, how hard is it to do Cata heroics? What sort of Gear do you need?

I started multiboxing not too long ago with 3 accounts while a friend is also duaboxing 2 accounts.

Our team is,

Him: Pally Tank and Mage DPS
Me: Disc Priest, Feral Druid, Arms Warrior

You guys think it would be possible?

I also have my original priest on the same account as my new priest who I can switch for at 85, she's in ilvl 410 Gear which I figure could help heal through most Cata damage.

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum

I don't see why not. If you'd like to completely outgear the Cata heroics then you can either purchase the starter gear from the Jade Forest NPCs or just grab a bunch of MoP BoEs from the AH.

I have no idea why I didn't think of this! I figured I'd have to farm gear with my guys using cata normals and crafting!

Thanks for the tip =)

Think about how long you need to farm to get the BtAs that will speed up your leveling. Seems like if you have RaF its fastest to just forget about farming the BtAs.

Is it possible to level 1-80 via dungeons without BOA gear? I don't have enough gold to level professions or constantly buy them gear from AH )low level gear is so expensive now)

EDIT: Also how does anyone know how the bonus JP works for completing a dungeon now? When I log into my priest on dungeon finder it says "you may receive this reward 1 more time this week".

Do you still get 70 JP infinity after the initial 150?

Definitely possible. I would say that it is easiest if you pick up tailoring on your tank (extra cloth loot from level 68+) and have a caster team. Using the cloth you get in dungeons it is easy to keep their gear at level, and making enough gear for 3 or 4 casters will pretty much keep your tailoring levelled even with your level. I would plan to invest a little in your tanks gear as you go (it seems to be hard to keep a current level shield, for example, I think I was running my warrior tank with a level 30 shield until level 50).

Also keep in mind that dungeon levelling is quite lucrative itself if you pay attention to expensive transmog sets as you go.

http://hatchery.powerwordgold.net/2012/01/unabridged-mogging-plate-flip-list-by.html is a good place to start. Although those prices are no longer very valid, many items from that list will still sell for 2-300 gold each, more than enough to keep your team comfortable.

I guess I'll see when I hit 85 how long it takes to gather JP, if it's only going to take me a week or two to grab all the BoA's I want I'll just do it.

Does anyone know if its

150/week for first heroic + 70/boss + 70 for every other heroic?

I don't mind taking out a week or 2 of my 3 month RAF to pick up the gear as It'll probably make up for the time lost.

Plus I wouldn't mind the challenge of trying to get the heroics down. Probably not a big deal for you veterans but I think it'll be pretty challenging for me.

The level 85 vendor gear set from MoP will be pleanty of gear to do Cat heroics. However, full sets of gear are not cheap. I think around 5k gold for a full set, so you will still need a chunk of gold to outfit a 5 man team.

I think it is more like 50g each piece of gear, so more like 500g per toon

Maybe. I just remember seeing all my gold disappear after buying 12 pieces.

Definitely possible. I would say that it is easiest if you pick up tailoring on your tank (extra cloth loot from level 68+) and have a caster team.

I have tailoring on a slave and set Jamba's Advanced Loot to pass cloth to said slave so I can have JC and BS on my tank instead of the fairly unimpressive Embroidery bonus. This way the slave loots all visible cloth and extra cloth in one fell swoop.

As for the Vendor Greens -

Claretta sells 372 gear lvl 85 (http://www.wowhead.com/npc=61215)
Silkweaver Rui sells 372 gear lvl 85 (http://www.wowhead.com/npc=61598) - Alliance only
Rivett sells 372 gear lvl 85 (http://www.wowhead.com/npc=56406) - Horde only
Singegruff sells 372 and lvl 85 (http://www.wowhead.com/npc=56705)
Jambeezi sells 372 gear lvl 85 (http://www.wowhead.com/npc=59583)

Alin sells 393 gear lvl 87 (http://www.wowhead.com/npc=65171)
The Metal Paw sells 393 gear lvl 87 (http://www.wowhead.com/npc=61749)

Len sells 408 gear lvl 88 (http://www.wowhead.com/npc=65172)
Supplier Xin sells 408 gear level 88 (http://www.wowhead.com/npc=62737)

Prices range from about 30g for rings/neck to 140g for weapons.

Keep in mind that if you are in a decently leveled guild, there are several BOAs you can buy from the guild vendor (http://www.wowhead.com/items?filter=qu=7;cr=129;crs=0;crv=46572).

Guild Level 10 (http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=4944) allows the purchase of cloaks, Guild Level 20 (http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=4946) gives you the ability to buy helms, all professions to 600 (http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=6626) allows you to get legs.

There are also 3 different battle standards that provide bonuses to XP, Rep and Honor from kills while you are in range:

Banner of Cooperation (http://www.wowhead.com/item=64400) for 525 in all professions (http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=4860) = +5%
Standard of Unity (http://www.wowhead.com/item=64401) for completing all Cata Heroics (http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=5143) in a guild group = +10%
Battle Standard of Coordination (http://www.wowhead.com/item=64402) for doing 15000 Dailies (http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=5422) = +15%

They do not stack, but they have a longer duration than cooldown. Put them on Round Robin and you can always be under it's effects.

If you're in someone else's guild, all you need is the guild rep and cash to buy the items, you don't actually have to have done the achievements yourself.

I had a look and it's about 50 gold for all pieces except weapons, they're 150 gold

There's a quest in MoP which rewards ilvl 404 weapons. Is it possible to cap my xp and still do the quest?

Thank you for the detailed response Khatovar. I have most of the Guild BoA onlty missing the legs, my guilds needs a cook at 600 and I hate cooking!

Too bad there's none of those venders for Cata! would make life a while lot easier

Cooking is absurdly easy to level since MoP launched. Almost everything you need can by purchased at the vendor in Halfhill Market so basically all you do is stand there and cook for a bit and you're done.
