Has anyone tried soloing Kael for ashes? I'm curious if it is much easier with gear levels available now? I can do him just fine with groups of 5, but I feel like the extra dps is more a hindrance than help if they get charmed, which is pretty much a wipe. Solo he doesn't use charm. As a plus you get more chances at ashes!

Also in the same'ish vein: Is Yogg doable now with 90s? His mechanics are pretty boxer unfriendly, but I really want his mount!

It's a piece of piss to solo him really. Killed him solo as spriest, ele and enhance this week. The mechanics changed since patch 5.1 so its easier now. Not sure about yogg.

nope though i guess it helps if you have some self healing ability
did it on spriest who had 450 ilvl, ele who has 501 ilvl and enhance who has 494 ilvl
so i guess ilvl doesn't really matter

you can kill yogg on 10 will little problem, 0-light can be difficult, haven't done it besides once at 85 with one other.
You might be able to 10 box yogg 25 0 light, but you need bodies to soak sanity

FWIW I soloed KT last night on my blood Dk (ilevel around 450ish), the fight took about 10mins all up and it took about 10mins to get through the trash to get there. Tried it as frost but kept dying to the annoying caster in the third phase.

Yeah I do it 4x weekly with DKs and could do it with my monks, but honestly its boring as shit.

It's been a while since i had to go in there now (got Ashes after 211 kills if i remember correctly) but i think the MC phase only happens in phase 4 and will last untill you get him to 50%.

He has 2 emotes he will say, either of them will start the MC "Bow to my will" or "Obey me". Tank him with your pally and hide all your shaman line of sight from him behind a pillar untill he says one of the emotes, then run them out and pop hero (and ascendance once / if you are 90 ) you have about 25 seconds to dps untill the next MC emote will come. If you need more time just line of sight him again. Dont pop elementals during that phase because he can MC them also.

Good luck on the mount , i was running it solo on ele shaman @ 90 with about 460 ilvl 5 times a week and a solo kill on a DK and Warlock also.

Maybe just try KT with one of your shammies? I was struggling too with the MC as I couldn't nuke him down fast enough when I was DB to avoid it.

Just an FYI, the account trade thing no longer works to get more mounts. Seems they fixed it as I just tried yesterday and the account that was transferred to did not gain any new accounts. Sad.
