Hi everybody,
I have lurked for the past few months and finally decided to cast the shadows aside and say a few things! Firstly, thank you very much MiRai and Ualaa for their videos and guides to ISboxer, and to lax. It helped me very, very much. Some i figured out on my own, and much i will still have to learn, but for the most part you guys educated me on the important stuff.
I've been 5 boxing for about 2 months now, and i've been playing World of Warcraft for about 5 years off and on. I play on Whisperwind (US) and am using a Druid Tank, Fury Warrior, Enhancment Shaman, Survival Hunter, and Holy Paladin.
I created a ton of toons and have quite a few 80's just trying to find what worked best for me. I don't really PvP and want to focus on PvE and just having fun, so the above team appeals to me because i end up with 8/8 buffs and Skull-Banner and Heroism so the really mechanic heavy boss fights i can hopefully burst down quickly.
I will probably try other teams in the future, but so far this one seems pretty strong. My Enhancment shaman's DPS is pretty weak, but i'm hoping that will improve with time. My fury warrior is INSANE dps. at level 89 he is doing Single Target 45k+, and AoE like 90k+. There are a couple DPS on my main raid team that do that dps. (i'm in a casual guild, we are 4/6 mv) my hunter's dps is great, and i'm sure he's helping push the team through instances like Shado-pan Monastery and the Brewery that are pretty mechanic heavy. The Druid Tank works well, i love that he and the warrior both charge in and stun/knockback the first thing they hit.
So, my question is--
What have you guys done to improve going up against crazy mechanics? I will give some examples, and list what i'm doing.
The Stormstout Brewery (Rabbit Boss)--Usually not an issue to get past him, but i usually lose a few party members which i hate. Although, i have gotten much better recently. Is there anything specifically you guys do to not lose toons on fights like this?
Any fight where you have to split your team into two parties? I've recently created a FTL toggle button and a button i call Healer Refrain, which basically makes it so that when i hit my follow button or IWT button the healer is left out of the mix, so not to interupt any of his spell casts and cause me to lose HPS. But i still need a huge amount of practice, sometimes i'm trying to think of everything and keep track of everything and i end up forgetting to do something critical or spam my DPS key to fast which makes my guys IWT to frequently and one will run on and on like this sentence. ;)
Heroic Flame Leviathan (Orbituary)--I wiped about 10x last night, and it should be easy, but when all my toons get into a vehicle it just kinda goes to hell.
Heroic Yogg'Saron (Alone in the Darkness)--lol, is this possible to 5 box? I get owned hardcore very quickly.
Anyway, i have a lot of fun 5 boxing. It's like playing WoW the RTS! Would love to hear from you guys about PvE experiences and how to improve and how i can improve. Thanks again, and nice to meet you.
