My new Elemental Shaman Macros!

I wanted to post my results using the ideas found in the link Andreauk (http://www.dual-boxing.com/members/20785-Andreauk) posted in the broken fallthru macro thread http://wowlazymacros.com/forums/topic/the-true-lazy-macros (http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/48486-Anyone-else-have-their-fallthrough-macro-fail?p=372787&viewfull=1#post372787). I spent a few hours trying various ways to use it with my Ele shams. The main problem i was trying to solve was a semi reliable way to keep flame shocks up without having to apply them separately and also not casting FS too much. I tried everything known..such as the normal castsequences with FS to start and lightning bolts timed to reapply FS as close to expiring as possible. And many other ways. I'm not sure how "perfect" what i came up with is, but before i started doing this today, my 3 eles were averaging around 22-25k on a raid target dummy. After i settled on my setup I was staying at 31-35k. I ran each test about 3mins to 5mins.

So I used two macros, spammed in a two step. My first macro has the "flame shock,null" because i could not find a more reliable way to make sure a flame shock was apllied at the start of each fight without having to aplly it manually. My second step macro does the reapllying of FS.


/castsequence reset=target Flame Shock,null
/castsequence reset=0.3 1,lightning bolt
/castsequence reset=0.3 lava burst

and my second step macro is


/castsequence [nochanneling] reset=target
/combat Unleash Elements,Elemental Blast,Earth Shock,Earth Shock,Flame Shock

Now i know there is a lot of debate on the use of Unleash Elements, i tried with and without it, and adjusted the amount of earth shocks until i came up with the macro i posted. The result was 95% reliable flame shock applications and almost as reliable earth shocks at 5-7 stacks. And it made a HUGE difference in my dps. I'm sure whatever I was using before was just crap and not well thought out. But for a one button mashing method, this works great for me. I would love to see any other results you guys are having. Try mine and tell me what you think!

BTW..my gear is so so, only two of my guys are 476+( LFR ready ) the rest are 450ish. And I'm not reforged, gemmed or enchanted to the max either. As I get epics.. i reforge and enchant those. So I'm sure I could get even better results if i were more optimized.

What is the reset=0.3 part? Looks as though its resetting right away unless you spam faster than every 1/3rd second.

With isboxer and the two step..you can do the action on up AND down press..so it makes spamming the macros a lot easier/faster.

that is a time faster than the GCD which will force a fall thru, and post 5.1 this is the only way a fallthrough will still work AFAIK

cause my toons are level 88, some are 89. And the taalent is for level 90, it was in the macro but i removed it, as it makes macro hang, as its not a talent, ability I have yet, thats why.

Uunleash elements is a level 81 talent, which every shaman gets by default. If it makes the macro hang it's almost certainly because you had no active weapon imbue (i.e. you forgot to apply flametongue on your weapon). Not to be confused with the level 90 talent called Unleashed Fury, which is not a spell in itself but a passive ability. Regardless of that, using unleash elements is a dps decrease for ele shaman in pve in the current patch, hence why I asked why you had it in the macro.

i was using it in mine for a filler to help time flame shocks better.. but i removed it.. i have something that works better now, Ill post next time I am in game.
