Good Day,
This morning I went to log into my lowbie druids, when I was hit with the "your account has been suspended" click this link to continue. The other 4 (under the same b.net address) logged in just fine. I checked my email and there was nothing there from Blizzard.
After a bunch of tickets, I finally got a generic in game response, from an unknown GM, stating that the 72hr ban was due to "Exploitation Policy Violation - Unapproved Third Party Software / Botting" It went on to say that I had used "unauthorized game modifications"
I use ISBoxer and the following addons - JAMBA, OneBag/Bank, Titan Panel, and Recount. Nothing else. In fact, ISBoxer is only configured from the quick setup wizard. I havent really tinkered with it yet.
I have requested a number of times that they actually send me an email to my home address stating the reasons for the ban, but they have not.
I play on a realm where there isn't any multi-boxing going on. I get countless people saying they are going to report me. Could this be it? As well, I have really been tearing through the levels, so maybe the amount I've played is suspicious?
Anyway, I would appreciated any insight/tips on how to proceed you all may have.
Thanks.
PS - I feel a little bit angry seeing as how there are countless bots running day after day in AV and nothing is done about it. Also, on my realm, a number of PVP heroes were caught using AFK hacks in Arenas and they didnt get banned. They just had their gear taken away.

Ring them!
Edit: There have been other peple on this site with just 1 account banned for the same reason and it turns out it was a mistake... ring them!

Exactly what Valkry said. 99.9999 % of the time, it is a mistake on their end.

I just got off with customer support. They can't really do much other than direct my ticket to the right source. The rep i talked to multi-boxes 4 char himself and told that there is no problem with it.
One thing that I did mention to him (just thought of it at the time), is that my mouse (Razor Naga) had been making weird clicks. It would sometimes make double clicks when I would be buying stuff from vendors. I replaced it the other day because of this. Could that be a cause?
He told me it would take about 12-24 hours for a response.
Good enough for me.
EDIT - Forgot to mention. The rep told me that if it had in fact been an actual bot/hack use, all the accounts under my b.net address would have been disabled.

sometimes we get picked up by the automated systems i know this from
1) a 72 hour (only real staff do lifetime bans)
2) what the guy said on the phone
3) one account got banned what means they did not check to see if u had anymore.
The system sometimes get boxers as the when you not on your clones even though you are but a small window you wont see the everything going on small checks the warden checks for. we can look like bots, if you had muti-acconts logged in under the same battle.net warden would skip the check. but the bot makers find this loophole out. so looks like they removed that.
Your account will be flagged for boxing or is already.
tip: talk to you self a bit more ;) you look more like player then a bot warden likes to read the server char chat logs ;)

You aren't the first person and you won't be the last person to get a wrongful ban. Petition the ban and, if it's actually wrong, Blizzard will reverse the decision as they've done many times in the past.

I don't think that Warden is watching the chat log(s) and making decisions based off of it. If that was the case we wouldn't need players to manually report spammers, illegal names, etc.

I also got a 72 hour suspension on one of my accounts last night (1 account out of 10).
My story is the same as yours. No e-mail or notice from Blizzard, had to do a ticket to find out why. They just sent me a canned response. I called Blizzard and they said the same thing - they can't do anything. The ban/locked/suspensions is a separate department and you can't contact them via phone. Only the in-game ticket system is the only recourse.

Sorry to hear that daanji. I'm not too impressed with their customer support as of late. Not contacting me before/during/after the ban isn't cool. I had no idea what was going on, ie - acct compromised, etc. If anything, multi-boxers should be better served considering the business we provide.
Oh well, I guess I'll just wait it out and see what happens.

Just an update in case anyone else is having similar problems. Approximately 7 hours after having called Customer Support, my ban has been lifted. I just successfully logged in.

Nice! I was about to post the same thing.
My first ticket got me no where. So in my second ticket, I threw a tantrum and threatened to cancel all 10-accounts if they didn't lift the ban. That got their attention :)

I'm surprised I've not been flagged as well, only because I'll sometimes have 4 different IP addresses over the course of 4 days logging in with 5 accounts. I have the authenticator, so perhaps that helps there. I usually get "reporting" threats while doing BG's but have never had any inquiry from blizzard.

Sorry to hear about your suspension. I contacted Blizzard via in game ticket when I started to multibox recently just notifying them that I was multiboxing and the GM responded quickly, stating there was no need to notify them and multiboxing is fully supported, so that made me feel more at ease, although mistakes happen and I guess there could be a time when my account get a temp ban, hopefully not. The GM that responded stated that there are many GM's and other Blizzard employees who multibox and she wished me well, i thought that was pretty cool.

Just got my first ban ever, was farming (13 boxing) water elementals (killed about 800 motes worth today) and 5 of my 13 accounts got a 72 hour ban. I put in a ticket and would like to call as well but I guess there phone line hours are only 7am - 8pm so I will have to wait until tomorrow.
