View Full Version : Interact with target issues on Hunters within 40 yards

Oh I love to get to ask the questions finally!
Interact with target works fine on my Shaman.
Outside of 40 yards my characters will flip around and run to the targeted mob and stop at 40 and pew pew.
At any range and non attackable npc, when using interact with target they will run towards.
If the target is within 40 yards and the character is not facing the target. It will sit there until it is within 5 yards and then flip around and attack.
All actions being performed spamming interact key.
Does anyone have a fix for this? Or know why this happens? I mean it's workable right now, I'm just concerned about PvP and them not readjusting targets moving.

Sounds very odd. I wish I could test this myself and see what the issue is, but I don't have any active accounts. I'd probably have to see it live in action to make a determination. You're only pressing the IWT, right?

Hunter, mages and warlocks have iwt issues, not sure about priests. Seems to be classes with no melee spec. /shrug
They flip a bitch at 5 yards because then they are in melee range.

Any class that has no melee spec cannot use interact with target correctly.

I look forward to hearing about a work around.
One that doesnt include wasting time making endless amounts of dark jade focusing lens.

That now applies to any class that doesn't have a melee spec {mages, warlocks, umm...stuff without coffee}. You can use the focusing lens macro or there's always the good old follow command. Or you can try Disengage (http://www.wowhead.com/spell=781) and hope that puts you out of range and then IWT to get back to max range, but that seems a rather Rube Goldberg way of going about it.
