View Full Version : Anyone multiboxed old-world raids?

I'm curious if anyone has tried to multibox any of the old world raids like Onyxia and MC (at level 70). Stuff beyond that I'm sure would be impossible, but some MC bosses and certainly Ony I could see being possible. Farming Ony each reset might be worth the time for the cash drop and free 18 slot bag if it's not too much trouble. Has anyone actually tried either of these places?

I'm sure a Warlock and Paladin could dual box Ony no problem. (Current best Ony Kill to my knowledge)

Hrm. Make's me want to go roll 2 Warlocks to go along with my Prot Pally I have atm.

@Crebble

So, how many/what classes were involved? Care to go into a bit more detail please?

Your 5-man team + a Balance Druid? Or is the druid in your team?

I 5 boxed Ony many many times. MC, BWL, ZG..... you name it except Naxx.

I think that you may have to clarify. Do you mean multibox solo Old World raids?

I don't know about that Maj. Naxx's bosses required very sensitive positioning and fast reaction movements during phase shifts. I'm sure its plausible but I believe you'd be hard pressed with a few of the bosses.

Yeah that would be nice. I'd love to solo Ony with 5 chars to get free 18slot bags.

I have Onyxia on my "to-do" list. Granted I only have the 2 shamans right now but they are lvl 66, and I have a dwarf priest lvl 66, I am thinking of getting another account and transfer him to it so I can use him with my shammies. I think when I hit 70 and get the proper gear i could do it.
More than likely need my friend to tank tho.

I don't remember where I saw it (linked from WoW Insider perhaps) but there were two friends who 4 or 5-manned Molten Core. I do not recall how far they got, they may have cleared it all but I don't remember.

Xzin - 5 or 10 box MC, ZG etc?

I take it Ony is duo'ed these days with nice gear I suppose, but farming MC for rare patterns etc just because I am a tradeskilling sadist seems fun?

How doable is MC with 5 people up to Garr ? (and beating him). *multiboxing ofcourse*

My warrior still misses the TF part, and i would love to get my 2nd legendary weapon finally complete :)

4 shamans is what i did it with!

onyxia were with a balance druid friend. flamebreath does hurt a bit on 4 tho but not to bad.

mc were with 6 randoms
ZG were with a resto drood and hunter
its just all in that goes for those!!

MC has actually been 3 manned (some classes were swapped in out, but still only 3 at a time):

My intention was multiboxing solo, not multiboxing as part of a larger raid.

Well my plan is to run Onyx, MC, BWL, AQ40 and Naxx as weekly events once I get my 5x Shammy team to 70 and start a guild, thinking about naming it Multi Talented lol dunno yet and dunno what server I am going to start the Shammys on either yet, but it would nice to go through the old 40 mans again and get Tier 1-3 like we use to have to, I could actually enjoy the game again, if you guys run alot of old 40 mans and interested in doing them with multi boxers let me know what server and I will start them up on there once I get home from Iraq
