I just got a text from blizzard saying what my account name is... I'm not sure if there is anything i can do?

Blizzard won't let you link two accounts to the same phone battle.net authenticator, so I'm relying on their other security measures to protect my account.

You can call them and ask whats going on. They can call that number and have you confirm you didn't add that # to another account (or call from it).

After I had to remove my second account from my phone authenticator a few months ago (they made it so that you couldn't do that, two accounts, at least a year ago but I've had a phone authenticator for as long as they've existed so I managed to coast along grandfathered in until they did the hard reset of the bnet software before pandaria) that was my thinking. I was hacked one week after activating my second (now unprotected) account while using antivirus, chrome with ad-block, etc. Three separate scans showed no viruses on my end. Take the five minutes to call them and move your second accounts to your first bnet if at all possible!

I was very lucky that they hacked me while I was online and only had my account for about five minutes total (also lucky they started with the only 85 on my account rather than either of the bank alts or my new monk).

"Other security measures" just don't cut it.

My personal theory is that they actually got my email information when I logged in to wowinsider using that old aol account that was the master of that bnet.

With how much money we spend on the game it seems very silly not to just buy as many authenticators as we need for $10 each.

when they did this to me i phoned them and they sent me a handful off authenticators for free.
