Hi,

I've upgraded to windows 8. Installed Inner Space and loaded one of my teams.
It seems to work fine except the broadcast click bar. It's not visible. I know it's still there because I can click it on the top left corner and get the message Key Maps On/Off.
The fps counter is visible.

Anyone else encountered this issue?

Pazgaz came into #isboxer and confirmed the following solved the problem:
FAQ: I copied my ISBoxer configuration to a new PC, and everything works except for the Key Maps and Repeater buttons don't show up?

Will Video FX still work? I heard somewhere that Aero was not being implemented in Windows 8 ?

In Windows 8, Desktop Window Manager (DWM) is always ON and cannot be disabled by end users and apps. As in Windows 7, DWM is used to compose the desktop. In addition to experiences enabled in Windows 7, now DWM desktop composition enables desktop composition for all themes, support for Stereoscopic 3D, and management, separation, and protection of the experience with Windows Store apps.

This means that Video FX should work, yes.

This did not fix it for me. I haven't tried the shadows option in WoW. Someone said there was a conflict with it or something in that nature.

The issue with shadows was solved with Inner Space build 5670, to my knowledge.

The images should work just fine on a clean profile (e.g. File, Clear) with the Quick Setup Wizard...

This would mean re-importing the images? Correct?

I created a new group (monks) and still have no images to click.

As I was about to write the answer to this post I went ahead and did an ISBoxer update that could help correct this for you, if my guess is correct. Feel free to try it out, all you have to do is update to 40.4.1031.1 (via Help->About) and then Export to Inner Space.

Here's my guess. Your images under Click Bars could be pointing to the wrong location. To check, select any Click Bar in the top left pane, and then in the bottom left pane under "Images (global)" select each of the image names and check the filename on the right. If Inner Space is not installed to the same location as previously, it is possible that these point to the old location.

The suggested Quick Setup Wizard fix only solves this issue when there are NO Click Bar images in the list, because it does not want to modify anything you have that already exists. However, as of 40.4.1031.1, when you Export and the images don't exist, it will try to auto-fix it (for the provided images), and/or produce an error message if the image can't be found.

So that should pretty much handle the known cases at this point.

Also, confirming that Video FX still work on Windows 8 as described, even over Remote Desktop which is performing pretty well -- since I believe it is actually using H.264 on Windows 8. Only problem I'm seeing so far multiboxing on Windows 8 is actually mouselook over Remote Desktop. ;)
