Elemental Shaman Macro

Hi all,
so below is my elemental shaman macro, I normally drop searing totem manually. My iLevel is around 436 but I feel my dps is low at just over 20k on average. Also during fights my mana stays at pretty much 100% the whole fight. Am I missing something?
Here is a link to my character which my other two elemental shamans are geared and specced the same.

Maybe this changed with MoP, but in Cataclysm, Chain Lightning was only good for 2+ targets.
For single targets, Lightning Bolt was better DPS.

There is no point to weave chain lightning in your sequence, it hits lower single target than lightning bolt, and it has only 1/3rd of chance to proc overload = its a dps loss. If you have ele shamans, just make 1 dedicated aoe button and spam nothing but chain lightning. It's not the most optimal (optimal = making use of magma and earth quake under certain conditions). but it's so convenient that everything will die.

If you use prime elementalist as your lvl 90 talent then you obviously have to use fire elemental on cooldown. How do you use ascendance, and how stormlash totem?

That being said, without gems/enchants/reforging and green gear, not being hitcapped, you can't expect much damage. Also you run as ele with telluric currents, which returns mana, while ele is pretty much mana neutral by itself. The glyph of water shield is absolutely pointless as well. You should never ever use water shield as ele.

It changed in late beta, where CL was doing more single target than lightning bolt; but they reduced the single target dmg and increased the jump % slightly so the total dmg on 5 targets (if glyphed) wasn't nerfed too much.

Ascendance I only use on Boss fights together with Heroism (Alliance). I use Stormlash Totem based on need. I always have lightning shield up on the Elemental Shamans and Water on my Resto.
I have not reforged any gear due to them being greens. Only added enchants and reforge to Resto due to mana issues I am having.
