Are there plans to implement a pay for play here on Dual-Boxing.com? As such I'd happily contribute to shut the adds off. I figure ask publicly and answer publicly and it may save you a few hundred PM's ;).

www.modaco.com have a Plus group of users who get benefits from subscribing while the peons that don't subscribe have to put up with the adds.

The ads are preventing the main page from opening (defualt forum list) for me. It just loads the ad and sitst here.

I have to use a search open to get past it.

This has been happening to me. After I load it and it gets stuck, I have to click "Forum" in the menu.

same thing happens for me. It says the amazon images are still loading when i can see the full ad.

The above bug only happened to me when I tried to reload the front page a few mins ago...didn't give me any trouble until now lol; I DO prefer google ads though, Google is something most people trust and has decent security lol

Yeah, what Eteocles said. I know a few people who were hit by trojaned banners on wowhead thottbott allakazam just last week, Google and Amazon I trust.

Guys the point of this is to help fund these forums... if you want to block the adds that is fine but at least contribute in some other way!

Ellay, are the ads view-based, click-based, or both? If they're view-based, then I ask the rest of you bums to NOT adblock the site. A little banner ad at the top isn't gonna kill you, and helps out your favorite troll + info spot :p If click-based only, go for it I guess, but if you can donate please do so ;p

Fair enough Los...it's been getting worse and worse over time since yesterday for me at work(Though it loads fine at home); I can't even load the main page anymore, had to click the half-covered "Threads of last 24hrs" button to get here lol

Again I'm all in favor of Google ads, Amazon's doesn't seem to play nicely with some people, or at least move it down somewhere so the forum list loads before it does and we can at least navigate.

I also noticed the forums not loading. I like google ads more as well, but really disliked the gold selling ads - and a lot of viewers didn't like that method either. The amazon ads are based off clicking. I'll look further into the google ads though and try to filter the bad stuff. Trying to be as non invasive as possible :)

Using Firefox, I R-Click and chose Block Image from ...and still, sometimes it don't load.

I changed my bookmark to open General Forums instead; and it loads faster.

To be perfectly honest I dont like the new forum software, the new layout, or the ads.

Would have preferred a seperate Wiki and Forums engine.
I would happily pay $10 to have zero ads.
