Has anyone used one of these before?
From the reviews I've seen, it looks to be well built.
Ergonomically, some prefer Razor Naga and some the G-600, more depending on the size of one's hands -- I've never tried a Razor Naga, but the G-600 feels good for me.
It feels close to (but slightly lighter) than my Logitech G5 mouse; moving it with thumb and little finger is a little different from thumb and ring finger, but muscle memory comes fairly quickly.

This has a left/right mouse button.
A scroll wheel, which counts as G3 (clicked), G4 (pushed left) and G5 (pushed right).
A G-Shift button (where the ring finger rests).
G7 and G8, below (closer to the palm) the scroll wheel.

And then 12 (G9 through G20) thumb buttons.
Three Rows of four buttons each.
A B C D
E F G H
I J K L
With ABEFIJ angled towards each other, forming a group of six.
And CDGHKL also angled towards each other, forming another group of six.

If you want to push and hold the G-Shift button, you can make each of the other G-Buttons do a different function.
Most of the reviews I've read/watched, suggest using that button for the Ventrilo/Teamspeak "Push to Talk" function.
It doesn't seem that comfortable, pushing G-Shift and a Thumb Button together.

I wouldn't really consider Left/Right clicks or the Scroll Wheel to be five G-Buttons, nor the G-Shift to be a sixth.
Still, that's 14 actual G-Keys, on the mouse.
Plus the regular Left/Right and Scroll Wheel.
And an optional "Push to Talk" on the mouse itself.

With the software, you can set three profiles for any given game.
And illuminate each with your choice of 16.7 million colors.
I'm planning on clearing the profile, and giving IS Boxer another 14 G-Keys to work with.

Leaning towards...
Thumb Buttons: Slot 1 through Slot 10, and Follow / Spread Out
G-Keys below scroll wheel: Key Map and Repeater Toggles.
G-Shift: Ventrilo's Push to Talk.

I've got one and love it. I prefer it so much more over the razer naga and steelseries cataclysm mmo mice.

With Razer forcing people to use their stupid Synapse Cloud garbage, I've been telling people to go with the G-600. Hopefully someday soon I'll get to grab one for myself.

I have one (I make it a point to pick up a lot of input devices to add support) and I am pretty happy that they implemented the side buttons as extra buttons, instead of just emulating a keyboard. That is a big plus over the Naga for me, though I get a lot of use out of my Naga (which I use on a daily basis) while the G600 is on my multiboxing desktop. I haven't had a lot of time to use my multiboxing desktop recently ;)

I'm not a huge fan of the left/right tilt on the scroll wheel; I re-mapped those. This might just be a product of not having used mice with that feature before really, but I am not sure I want that many degrees of motion on the scroll wheel anyway. I feel like if I was trying to go left or right, I might accidentally click down or scroll when I don't mean to, so I'd have to restrict the usefulness of the buttons to something that doesn't matter that much if I hit it on accident.

I was completely unaware of Razer's Synapse thing, since I don't use the Razer configuration software. I have my Naga in the default 1-= button mode. That's so I can hit the 1 through = buttons without my hands on WASD or ESDF (depending), since often during combat my left hand would be on my G13 (with possible movement via the thumbstick), and my right hand on my mouse (with possible movement via mouselook). Obviously not a tactic for everyone, but it works for me. ;)

I have to agree with Khatovar about Razer Synapse though. Thanks for pointing that out!

lol, the top 3 search hits to my site are "razer synapse sucks" "razer synapse doesn't work" and various swear words + razer synapse. People are REALLY not happy about it, but at least the older Nagas can still use the old drivers.

The left/right tilt is a feature I have as a requirement for any mouse, and is why i never got a naga. I use it for strafe left and right, I use Q and E for FTL DPS buttons.. makes things feel a lot better.. you can strafe kite like this mush easier 8) It also makes moving in and out of good/bad things on the ground way smoother while still dpsing ( if you can dps in the move )

Lax,
Any chance for support of the G700 mouse?

I like that idea.
Had not thought of that, for the scroll wheel tilt.

You'll be hooked 8) You will never own a non tilt mouse again!

One neat trick i use with this method is, when i spread my team out ( formation ) I will hit IWT so they all turn and face the boss and i tap the wheel left or right real easy like, and it stops them. That can be done a number of ways but it just feels better like this. It seems faster/smoother i guess.

Lax,

Generally the answer to "any chance for support of ___________?" is answered here: http://isboxer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=675

For the G700 in particular, this is not a true G-series input device, it is configured via Logitech SetPoint software. All devices programmed by the G-series software should be natively supported, but any mouse configured by SetPoint is not likely to have native support for its additional buttons. (Like the Naga, these devices emulate a keyboard)

I couldn't agree more. Total Garbage. Switching to G600 right now.

I'm going to go the other way from the opinions on this thread. I definitely prefer the Naga. I have both and I use a 2 pc multi box set up with the G600 on my main pc and Naga on the slave machine.

The advantages of the G600 is the construction of the grid mouse buttons and the middle side to side button. It's heads and tails above construction of the Naga in every way. The BIG problem with G600 is that damned third shift mouse button. i have medium sized hands and on extended gameplay the third mouse button causes pressure points on your palm and pinky. Now it doesn't sound like a big deal but over a long period of time it causes excruciating pain on my pinky. If you have large hands it shouldn't be a problem for you but if you have medium or small hands, I'd highly recommend that before purchasing the G600, you go to a Best Buy and make sure it's ergonomically suitable for your hands.

BTW I like the Razer Synapse because I have a couple of pads that I stay at and it's easy for me to make adjustments without making 4 different adjustments at different locations.

well i bought G600. used it. Its a nice mice. But I think naga is just faster. G600 is a little bulky and the buttons on the side is not as easily accessible as with Naga. With that said, I still think G600 is worth it. It should grow on me as I use it more, and Razer Synapse is still garbage lol. The thing uses cloud and promts me to update (alt-tab me out) when I am in the middle of a Call Of Duty Match, unacceptable.

Yeah the Naga does feel faster but I like the angled rubber grid buttons better on the G600.

I picked up the G600; ergonomically it feels nice.
I haven't tried the other options, so don't really know they're more/less comfortable.

My hands are fairly large, so the thumb & pinky grip feels good.
Not pressing the ring finger will take adjusting to, as almost every other mouse I've used was gripped by thumb + ring & pinky fingers.
I like the idea of using that as "push to talk" for Ventrilo... won't have to momentarily stop either DPS or mouse use to talk.

Even picking the mouse up with the thumb over the thumb buttons, doesn't push a thumb G-Key down.
Just need to decide which G-Key does what, and develop the muscle memory for the button.
Pushing any given button is easy enough, when you want to push it.

I purchased one of these to replace my Naga when it broke. I prefer the G600 for two reasons. Each button row is angled differently and the central button has a small notch, so it's much easier to "feel" your way around. Second, Logitech software is just better IMO. Easier and faster to use and it's the same software that you use to configure your G15 (which every boxer should own), so you have less junk wasting memory.
