PLEX cost...OMG

So I just activated 4 accounts via plex to test out some cost ratio's for mining with my subpar mining skills and almost choked on my Dos Equis when I saw the cost of PLEX now. With it pushing 600mil per account how is everyone making enough to keep plexing their accounts? I had originally planned to do some "afk-ish" ice mining while at work since they destroyed my PI money making awhile back, but ice mining doesn't even come close to paying for multiple accounts without putting in 50 hour weeks and silly things like that. I'm down to doing some level 4's while prepping my new "anti-new-AI" setup for 5's, but this may be the end for me forever in this game if PLEX costs don't come down or my income/hour doesn't shoot up drastically. Thoughts?

Yup, I know what you mean!

A year ago, Plexes were around the 320m mark - that's nearly doubled now and my mining income has only gone down since the recent mining patch.

I think I can see the end of my time in Eve :(

So after hammering out level 4's for just over 2 weeks I've got enough for my 5 plex for the next month (and 3 guys with standings to do level 5's now). Debating on moving back to level 5's now that I have my 3 Abaddon/2 Guardian setup working or switching some toons up to do level 4's and moving my main out to nullsec/lowsec for pvp fun or what. I'm still unsure what to do as my main money maker though and I feel dumb for not pushing a toon to do the over the top faction warfare ISK faucet that's working until early December.

i've been debating returning to EVE myself, to see how mining/manufacturing is this time around. i think i still remember all my details to my 10 accounts lol.

ice prices are slowly rising again after the dip they took with the barge rebalance, but still unles you box 6+ you wont make enough isk/h to cover costs. now, regular mining is still the best isk/h by far (almost 110% more than ice mining) the problem is that its not AFK at all, specially managing 7+ macks. as usual the best way is to move to null and even mining crap stuff you can plex easily by stoking null alliances or corps. but i lost my null spot a few months back... :(

I paid 570mil x5 for my first month and 590mil x5 for my second month last Friday. Plex doesn't appear to be moving down at all in the short term. I'm still hammering level 4's for my money.

Plex at 590m. Ice prices dropping. I've taken annual subs on some of my accounts, to play with my Battleships, but will be shutting down the rest of the Ice mining team, as it's unviable.
