Hey guys, it's been a while since I've been here! I'm wondering if any of you guys (or gals!) that use Plexer would be interested in some early access to some alpha bits that I'm working on. It will probably be ready for testing in the next week or so.

Current features:
Creating a team (up to 5).
Launching and positioning windows.
Virtualized environment for setting up keybindings.
More advanced key mappings (e.g. mapped keys like ISBoxer).

I'll probably take up to five or so people if there's any interest.

Cool to see you back around Owen.
Glad to see Plexer coming out with some some very cool sounding features.

I dont do much gaming on my mac anymore. Long since got rid of my Mac pro, so its just Macbook Pro now.

If I can help at all though let me know.

Will do, thanks.

So I'm currently finished (minus bugs that I'm sure are there! ;)) with the key broadcasting back-end.

The biggest update since v1 is the support for "mapped keys". If you've used ISBoxer, this will be familiar. But essentially it allows you to specify which key gets broadcasted and changed, if you want, to another key for a different client.

Up next will be networked client support and mouse pass-through regions. Then I'll work on making a nice UI to configure it all. =)

Any further word on this? if you need another tester I'll be happy to offer up my services. Better multiboxing software for the mac can only be a good thing!

There seems to be very little interest in this project so I've moved v2 to github. Anyone that would like to can pick it up there. The base engine is complete for most features, the UI needs to be written.

I'm curious, is this a new version of Plexer or something different altogether? Because I use Plexer and would be very interested in testing this, especially if it includes the mouse and region broadcasting capabilities. I've been looking for something that would broadcast the mouse clicks for placing AoE spells for ages!

It's a new version. I haven't had a real look at it yet but will when I have some time after Christmas. From what I understand its mostly feature complete but needs a GUI. When I get a chance I'll take a look and see what I can contribute.

I'd be interested in alpha testing this, if it will work with Eve Online.

I've been trying to find a mouse/keyboard broadcaster for OS X for ages.

I'm not altogether certain how to even use this....is there a particular file I need to download to test this, or an installation file?

Are you talking about v2? You need to compile from source. You can look in Plexer/PlexerApp/Plexer/Application Data/SampleTeam.plist. All of the configuration is based on settings in the plist file.

I'm new to Mac programming (been doing it on Linux for a while), but I wanted to give this a try since I would probably use it. So I installed xcode (do people even use xcode?) and started a project from the git, but now I get a code signing error... this is obviously where Mac development departs from Linux. Apparently I need to add Mac Developer to my Provisioning Profiles, but I guess I really have no idea how to do that, or where to start. I'll keep looking, but if anyone has any info for me, that would be much appreciated.

Guess I answered my own question... always happens to me, I look for a day and when I decide to post and ask, I find the solution. I just set the code signing identity to "Don't Code Sign." Easy enough... now to dig in and see what I can do!

Yeah, just don't sign it. I was originally going to try and put it in the App Store, but that was going to require a bunch of hoops and having people download a separate utility after the fact in order to use it.

Well, I'm not a programmer so I guess I won't be testing this.

I do have a question concerning the current version of Plexer, 1.0.5. Ever since the latest patch hit, it's been crashing all but the currently active window. I box 5 accounts and having this crash the other 4 every so often is getting to be a huge pain in the ass. I have to force quit all 4 of the locked up windows and then restart them. Seems to happen a lot more if I'm toon hopping too, not sure of that makes a difference. Let me know if there's any other info you need. I know what I've given is sketchy at best, but I'm not sure what else you need.

Sorry to bump an old thread but I am currently running osx 10.9 Mavericks and have no idea on how to compile source code, would anyone be willing to compile the current code and upload it somewhere? Or even if someone still has the old version that would be good too, I came back to multiboxing after several months to find that the only good software available was no longer being supported. Thanks guys

Afraid it's not that simple. With deprecated code and no UI it's a reasonable job to update it. I know I said a while back I'd look at it but unfortunately I've had literally no time to do so. I'd love to bring this project up to date but it probably won't be any time soon. Basically your best bet is to use boot camp and some windows software. I use the old but free octopus myself. Part of the problem is it's so easy to duel boot I don't personally need to rush on looking at this app.
