View Full Version : [ISBoxer] Window switching sporadically working

I'm having a weird problem with window switching in ISBoxer, I set my alt key to use for scrollwheel switching, it worked fine yesterday morning. Then I decided to create a new pala team since my home realm has a queue of over 3000 :s.

After creating the new team, window switching isn't working anymore, not even on my old teams.

The problem is that switching works only for a subset of windows, and that subset is changing all the time. Sometimes I can't switch at all, sometimes I can switch between 3 windows, but never between all 5.

I had this problem before, since nobody on #isboxer could solve it I reinstalled windows, but I don't really want to do that again ...

I tried resetting ISBoxer config a couple times, but to no avail. Put my ISBoxer config up on private paste (http://www.privatepaste.com/668e520ed8)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

With the help of Alge on #isboxer I figured out that, somehow, too many sessions are being started. When I type 'sessions' in the IS console, it tells me 10 are running, instead of 5. One of the ten is is50 (which according to Lax) is a launcher.

The weird thing is that I'm launching wow.exe directly, and that bg downloading is turned off. Also, my wow is up to date.

Edit: Pretty sure it's the battle.net update agent that is causing the problem.

Problem solved.

I used process explorer to see what was going on. The agent was continously crashing. To be honest I don't really know what I did to fix it, but it was roughly this:

First I removed the .agent file in my wow directory,
Then I removed c:\ProgramData\Battle.net

After rebooting the launcher downloaded the agent, but kept complaining about some problem, so I restored that .agent file, and restarted the launcher.

At that point, the launcher did some kind of update, after which the problem was solved.

Edit: since I can't readily reproduce the problem I'm not entirely sure how to fix it, but my guess is this:
- Reboot to make sure no wow stuff is running,
- Remove c:\ProgramData\Battle.net
- Start the launcher, let it do it's job
- Quit the launcher

That should fix the problem, although I'm not entirely sure.

Whats the player cap per realm? I've read it's 10k-15k, but AFAIK those are just rumours.

No one except Blizzard has that information.
