Hi all,
so I am in Jade forest and getting VERY tired of the vehicle quests and collection quests. My question is, are there any of these quests which can be skipped? Or do I have to complete these quests to open up the next set like it was in Cataclysm. I read before the MOP launch that questing was less linear, but so far it actually feels worse.
Any skipping quests and still able to get to the next set of quests? I had considered just grinding some mobs but I am afraid I will still have to complete quest line to get the next set to open up.

HELP!!!!!

I've been watching some streams. The instance that has the monkeys and barrels seems to be the place to get xp. Just mass zerg kill mobs to the first monkey boss and reset. Takes like two minutes for half a million xp.

I didn't even leavy the starting zone and i'm already level 87. I just did the first two instances with my 4 eles and a guild tank. You get around 1 mil. XP per run. The instance with the apes gives around 800k and the temple gives a bit more than one mil. Both instances take around 15 - 20 minutes. The only hard bosses are those at the end.

So my suggestion is to grind instances till 88 and then quest.

A lot of people skip Jade Forest.. its is the worst zone for us. I dont mind it at all. plus, questing is leveling my guild 8)

So I finally got ilevel high enough to use dungeon finder for the brewery. I got to the room with the rolling barrels? Starbuck_Jones, are you saying just kill the 7 guys on the way to that room or are you saying to kill the mods which are non red mobs too?

Chances are, you'd want to kill everything that gives experience...
If you can do a boss, go for that too.

Once you reach a point where the content is hard, leave the instance and reset.
And continue to level on the stuff that is easy.

Got my team to 86 though questing in Jade Forest. The zone is aweful for us and I'm very glad I did my solo shaman first, or I'd have soured on this expansion. It's heartening to hear that the next zones are better.

From what I saw in the brewery, you mass pull everything even non agro mobs to some stairs, clear them, then pull to where the first big monkey boss spawns. That room has like 100 monkeys you can kill before the boss shows up. But you need some aoe or they all run away if you don't kill them fast enough. Soon as the monkey boss spawns you just leave group or whatever and reset the instance.

Monk tanks were so op with the beer toss to get agro and the hurricane kick with vengence.

Jade Forest is multiboxers nightmare, I'm level 87 atm, not rushing to 90. But i agree its not multiboxing friendly

If you want access to every quest in future, you have to do them all. Jade forest is the WORST zone, if you can get through it, everything later will be much easier. BUT, if you want to, once you get the cookie crumb quest to go to Valley of the Four Winds, you can leave (providing you are 86 I'm pretty sure). You will just have to mount it over.

There are 2 crumb quests to VotFW, one is for the normal questing route, and the other is some cooking themed quest, but that will take you to a major quest hub.

Good luck

PS: My goal this xpac is to do EVERY quest in the new zones x4, it will be a mission lol

EDIT: In valley of the four winds, you can get a cookie crumb to go to kun-lai summit (I highly reccomend just going there as soon as you get it), then when you hit 88, just go to the north west of kun-lai and through a big gate into townlong steppes or w/e it's called. The quests there will give minimum 215k xp and 414ilvl rewards. You will kill the mobs slowly at first but it won't take long to upgrade and start smashing your way through them. Don't need a cookie quest to go there either. The start area for townlong steppes is the Longying outpost, will only be 1 quest there to start with but more will open up

I started with 5 (lvl 85) shammans at launch time Tuesday. Took until Friday 4am for 4 to hit 90, the 5th hit 90 a little earlier do to the fact he was mining. In fact when he hit 90 the others were at 85%. I'm guessing I probably slept anywhere between 3-5 hrs/day between playing that time, LoL. Thank God for redbull!

I leveled my doing quests ONLY, (I did try 1 AV @ lvl 86 ....we lost so i kept plugging away at quests) The collection quests were brutal. Some took over an hour to complete do to the low drop rate and competition for the mobs.

Some kills in certain areas, yielded a group loot while others were on an individual basis. Some you could stay mounted to complete as well. A few bugged vehicle quests but all in all it seemed to go well.

My miner collected a complete guild bank tab of ghost ore with a few of the higher ore as well.
Cloth collection was around 3000

Doing the dailys now and they seem to go smooth, most I've done have group loot on the drops.

Congratulations! I have a tailor in my group, and the cloth collection is so good (bad?), I'm tempted to start vendoring. About 50% from 90. I feel like the Dread Waste quests were designed by the guy who did most of the Cata zones. You have lots of collection quests with each new quest chain, but the objects themsevles tend to be close together and with faster respawns.

I led with my leather worker most of the time to get more motes, and sometimes forgot to have the slave/tailor loot the extra cloth. So I probably could have had a bit more cloth. The leather collected was substantial as well.

It seems all MoP mat prices are falling rapidly. I am wondering is it worth waiting to see if the prices come back up when more people have finished leveling and start to focus more on raiding and their tradeskills?
