I'm going to try some boosting for shitz=n-giggles! I have an 85 DK, I'm guessing Blood would be the ideal boosting spec? Has anyone boosted with a DK post patch? looking for advice/tips.

I've been boosting with my 84 dk. Hes at about 97k hps, not sure about armor. Hes not as fast as other boosters, but hes the best i have. Low level up to mid 60's hes pulling from boss to boss in instances no problem. By the time i hit wrath instances i'm pulling 2-3 packs at a time. Hes in blood for spec and presence atm, but up to 60ish I ran him blood spec and unholy presence for the speed and dps boost. I've got 7 weeks or so left of wrath, considered leveling to 85 and getting him some gear to speed things up.

Go frost up to cata dungeons, then switch to blood spec. Howling blast is just amazing for boosting :)

I'm using a mage atm, i know i wont be able to use him at high lvls though. I have a choice of transfering a Paly or DK.. DKs are better?

Unless you only know how to play as a Holy Paladin, whatever class you're better at playing is probably the best choice.

I can play both well.. have never boosted with a DK though..only mage and prot paly, mines speced Holy/Prot.. ill give him a try.

I'd probably go prot. I didn't really have much choice, I had an 85 shammy, 85 hunter and 83 dk when I started. The Dk does a good job. He can single pull all the way up to SM. my teams currently at 77 and i've had little trouble with him so far. His dps isn't great, but his survivability is so I just grind down packs. Pally has a few more tricks up thier sleeve, and more armor so thats why i'd go with them. But thats kinda gear dependent, if the gears the same go pally, otherwise go with the gear.

If you have a prot paladin or a druid, I'd use one of those. Being able to resurrect your team when something goes wrong saves you a lot of irritation.

Druid is my prefered booster. Particularly now that they have insane self healing. Rivaling DK's, even. Also, they have the benefit of travel form, charge and dash. You can gather up mobs much faster than a DK and you're not as susceptible to those annoying mobs that like to chain stun/snare you. You can run around and pull everything and then go cat and dash ahead of them before they can pile on.

Thats what i ended up going with, my druid, for the reasons you mentioned. I did not mention him because I had not transferred him yet, then I remembered he was my miner and gatherer, so i needed him anyway.

BTW.. I did not enjoy boosting at all. It is faster, but boring as hell. Running a team in a group, for me, was about 5 hours longer, but way more enjoyable.
