Ok so i just decided to recruit a friend myself in wow and multibox to level up a couple of toons. now i dont plan on multiboxing past the point of leveling and i dont even really care about casting spells on both accounts at once the only thing i want to be able to do is loot and accept quests turn in quests and things among this nature. I do not need to do anything else im perfectly content with playing one character and the other just be on follow doing nothing but watching but for gathering quest it is very anoying alt tabing every 5 secs to loot the corpse.

So i made a post on the wow fourms and a guy directed me to this site and told me to look at the newbie guide so i did and i downloaded a program called hotkeynet and i installed the basic script and logged in and couldnt get it to work to save my life. the script was working cause i couldnt type with scroll lock on but i couldnt get the mouse broadcasting to work at all. (the problem from what i could tell was that it wouldnt allow me to rename the wow clients for some reason)

so my thing is, i need a free program with an easy to follow gui that i can easily set up mouse broadcasting with. I also would like one that alot of people use so that there are video tutorails on youtube and things like that, cause with hotkeynet i only found one video of how to set it up and it helped me none it told me what i already had found out here.

i really need some help guys.

ty in advance

You don't need mouse broadcasting, just key broadcasting. Just download the Jamba addon to use with hotkeynet.

Did you follow the setup guide (http://genus-industri.us/wp/2011/09/09/configuring-a-hotkeynet-starter-script/) for HotKeyNet? You can't just use the basic script as is because it doesn't know where your WoWs are installed.

If you aren't comfortable with editing scripts, you'll want to use a program that has a setup wizard, like ISBoxer.

You may also want to look at using Jamba (http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=46225) with your multiboxing program. It is designed to help deal with all sorts of issues multiboxers run into, like quests. I also have a tutorial for that here (http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=28573).

We understand you want a free program because there are plenty of people that show up here wanting exactly what you want and this is what it comes down to...

If you want to only use a free program, you're going to have to either learn a scripting language (HotKeyNet/AutoHotKey) or learn how to use older programs that have little to no documentation on them anymore or much of a user-base to assist with issues (e.g. Octopus). You mention that you want a GUI, but GUIs take time for an author to create and keep up-to-date. Freddie never created a GUI for HotKeyNet and he has recently closed his support forum, so the possibility of having him build a GUI for HKN at this point is very, very close to "never going to happen".

A lot of people believe that multiboxing takes no time or effort or patience and that it is very easy to do, when on the contrary, regardless of whether the program itself is free or costs money, there is work that needs to be done and effort that needs to take place on the user's part. Don't think that I'm talking down to you, I'm just telling you how it is. I always laugh when I read posts on the WoW forums about how multiboxing takes zero skill -- These people obviously have no idea what they're talking about.

I don't know anything about HotKeyNet or else I would help, but the fact that you're not a HKN guru after having used the program for less than 24 hours is expected. HKN support is also tight around here, so you can expect your question to possibly sit until tonight when Khatovar returns; however, if you show little to no effort on learning the HKN language you can expect her support to be limited.

i didnt expect it to be easy by any means but i did expect it to easy to just link the mouse between two apps...but its not so i just give up ill alt tab to loot or just skip loot x number of this quests i dont really care that much like i said im just useing it to quest after that idc about multi boxing i play arena and raid....multiboxing at that level with diffrent classes takes skill and time to learn how to do it...i dont really care to do that becuase i have a guild and arena partners.

ty guys for the help
