Death Knight questions

I'm currently running a group of 4 Frost DKs and a disc priest, they are around level 60 at this point, so basically I just started this group. And actually, this is my first melee group.

At first I started with the DKs in blood spec and the priest healing with Atonement. It worked ok, the priest rarely had to actually heal, but the damage is a bit low. So I opted to go for 4x frost spec, and since the DKs would be taking extra damage the priest is now concentrating on healing.

The problem I run into is that the DKs lose aggro to the priest all the time. Especially on groups, which is to be expected since Frost is a DPS spec.

I've setup a 4 step key map on ISBoxer which sends 3 -> num 1 -> num 2 -> num 3 to my melee group. The 3 key on the DKs is a dps rotation macro, and the numpad keys are basically procs. The DPS macro looks like this:

/castsequence reset=combat Icy Touch, Plague Strike, Blood Boil,
Death Strike, Blood Strike, Death Strike, Pestilence


On numpad1 I got Frost Strike, num 3 is Death Coil and num2 is the macro



/cast Mind Freeze
/cast Pillar of Frost


Since this is the first time I ever play DKs I don't really have a clue as to whether the macros are any good. So the questions I have are basically, is this situation going to get any better, or should I just stick with blood? And are the macros any good?

I'd set one up as your tank and run him blood spec if agro's your issue, and it will also make healing easier as your damage received will be concentrated.

@Blubber: Why don't you try 4 x blood and take priest shadow with the old shield glygh that heals when it is applied (if it is still around post 5.0.4). With vampiric touch for off heals + blood you should have plenty of heals for most instances. Just have your priest apply SW:P first when you switch targets and your aggro issues should disappear and your DPS should increase as well. For bosses if you can't tackle them with 4 x blood + SP then take priest disc and finish it off.

Since 4x Frost was such a fiasco for me I switched to 4x Blood + disc. After 5.0.4 hits today I might try 4x Blood + SP. Currently the priest is just healing, and 99% of the time she has absolutely nothing to do.

Blood dk's survivability is just insane. When I started leveling my Dk from 80 2 monthes ago (I took a 2 year break, just came back) I was getting my ass kicked in unholy, then I respecced blood and haven't looked back. I rarely have any issues with health, and if I do i can get it back with lichborne and death strike. Thats going to change as of today possibly, but I'll probably still pick up lichborne for the talent on that level.
