For some reason my right shift key is being applied to all of the keys i have mapped in my FTL DPS Key list. Its not my keyboard since i can only produce this when i open ISboxer Char set. Ive gone though the keymaps and found no reason why the right shift should be applied to them. It was working fine earlier today...i logged off to raid with my main account (closed Inner Space/ISboxer)....then about an hour ago i opened both of them...logged into my 2 characters using ISboxer Char Sets and the problem started. The only thing that i changed when i got back was adding Shift+MouseWheelDown to my keymap. I even deleted it to see if that was the reason for the sudden change.

here is an image of the debug console: (note: i was just pressing the keys without a modifier; the letters in the chat box that are capitalized are the only ones being affected by the right shift....which happens to be the keys that i have mapped)

This may not be specific to ISBoxer. I use HotKeyNet and I've seen the same thing (http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/46330-lt-Toggle-gt-locking-up-key-broadcasting) happen where basically your system gets the keydown command, but misses the keyup, thus appending the modifier to everything else after it. If it's the same thing, you should just be able to hit right shift+whatever and it will get the keyup command.

This seems more likely to happen if window focus is changing, but it's been a long time since I've actually seen this behavior. I've seen complaints of it happening a lot to people using Intellipoint {Microsoft} or Setpoint {Logitech} (http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/2678-63-ctrl-stuck-because-mouse-buttons-assignments) mouse or keyboard software. It could simply be a matter of updating that software or using an alternative driver. I can't confirm, though, because I don't remember what mouse and keyboard I was using at the time.

But, again, I'm only guessing. I'm not that tech savvy so all I can do is speculate. It could well be that something got dorked in your ISBoxer config.

I use a Razer Naga and i have my number 1 (on the side of the mouse) set to act as Shift and my 2 button to act as Ctrl. I also use a Razor Blackwindow Ultimate. After reading that article you link it seem to happen to people who bind 2+ keystrokes to 1 "macro" button on their mouse..That is not the case with me. Also if windows recognized the button press but not the button release..wouldn't that cause all of my applications to have shift pressed? (notepad and what not); that was not the case with me. It was only happening with the keys that i had added on ISboxer (the keys listed in the 2nd links in my original post).

I went ahead and saved my old keymaps and did a full clear and re-did my keymaps; it seemed to fixed whatever i glitched out. Would you think that when i went to set Shift+MouseWheelUP as a keymap..maybe that is when it glitched and windows never recognized the release of the shift? I did a restart of my comp after making the post thinking my keyboard driver stopped working it and never fixed the problem.

I experience then same thing from time-to-time. Its either SHIFT or CTRL, but mostly SHIFT. I have performed a full reset and it still happens.

I've given up on trying to resolve it.

If there's actually, legitimately, a "stuck key" in Inner Space/ISBoxer then simply tapping that key or switching away and back to the game window will resolve the "stuck key".

However, if the problem persists or "only happens on keys I added", that's probably not it. I'd say it's PROBABLY due to enabling either the Hold option, or the "Use FTL Modifiers" option, for the Mapped Keys in question. That typically can't be done just by using the Mapped Key Wizard, because an "Assist and Broadcast" from this wizard does not give you the option to enable either of these two things for the new Mapped Keys... so you probably manually enabled one of these two things either on an entire Key Map, or on multiple Mapped Keys. The only way to resolve this problem is going to be to undo that change.

To explain the issue, the Assist part is done by pressing Shift+Backspace (if you're leading with Slot 1 or 2 at the time; Left Shift+Backspace for Slot 1, Right Shift+Backspace for slot 2, Ctrl+Backspace for slot 3, etc -- fpsware: this is a good reason why you'd sometimes see Ctrl but mostly Shift. This sounds just like your issue as well.) prior to sending the "1" key or whatever you're wanting to Assist and Broadcast. If you enable "Use FTL Modifiers" this option purposefully adds the FTL modifiers to EVERY keystroke in the Mapped Key -- that's the Shift or Ctrl in the Shift+BackSpace -- so it becomes instead Shift+Backspace followed by Shift+1. If you enable "Hold" this option purposefully holds down EVERY keystroke in the Mapped Key -- so instead of Shift+Backspace followed by 1, or Shift+Backspace followed by Shift+1, it becomes Shift+Backspace+1 all at the same time.

If you would like me to be more specific about what you need to do to fix your particular configuration, I would need to see it. In ISBoxer go to File, Copy ISBoxer Toolkit Profile to Clipboard, then go to privatepaste.com, paste it there ("Save Paste"), and give me either the link to it or the Paste ID
