Hi,
I just returned after a long hiatus and decided to make life easier by creating a 1 prot pally and 4x elemental shaman team. I've been trying to do research on my shamans because I've never played them before and I just used a SOR on them to boost them to 80.

I found this nice resource:
http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/PVEing_w/_5_shaman_groups

...but it appears to be out of date. I'm particularly interested in what totems to lay out on my 4 shamans. From the wiki post I found:

Earth Totems

Earthbind Totem - Does not stack.

Stoneskin Totem - Does not stack.

Stoneclaw Totem - Stacks! Multiple totems does wonders for CC.

Strength of Earth Totem - Does not stack.

Tremor Totem - Stacks! Dropping these in a staggered fashion will make your group nearly unfearable.

Earth Elemental Totem - Stacks! Not really a "stack", but 5 x Tanking Elemental = Awesome.
Fire Totems

Searing Totem - Stacks! Each does its own damage. They have a mind of their own.

Fire Nova Totem - Stacks! Same as the Searing Totem. Drop 5x of these to ward off melee.

Magma Totem - Stacks! Same as the 2 above.

Frost Resistance Totem - Does not stack.

Flametongue Totem - Does not stack.

Totem of Wrath - Stacks! +15% crit and +15% hit total. No need to spend talents on hit, or gear.

Fire Elemental Totem - Stacks! Just like the Earth elemental, but 5x DPS pets.
Water Totems

Healing Stream Totem - Stacks!

Mana Spring Totem - Does not stack.

Poison Cleansing Totem - Stacks! Just like tremor totem, stagger the timing of these.

Disease Cleansing Totem - Stacks! Same as Poison.

Mana Tide Totem - Stacks!

Fire Resistance Totem - Does not stack.
Air Totems

Grace of Air Totem - Does not stack.

Windfury Totem - Does not stack.

Grounding Totem - Stacks! Caster mobs = ezmode

Windwall Totem - Does not stack.

Sentry Totem - Utility Totem - You can place them at different positions to watch over a flag in pvp.

Nature Resistance Totem - Does not stack.

Tranquil Air Totem - Does not stack.

Wrath of Air Totem - Does not stack.

...but again it appears to be outdated. Like Totem of Wrath doesn't exist any more and is replaced with a passive skill called Totemic Wratch (I think).

Is there an updated guide for a shaman team, or even better a 1x Pally, 4x Shaman team?

Here is what my Shaman's are currently laying down for just general use if anybody wants to give me pointers/critic it:

Shaman 1: Stoneskin, Flame Tongue, Healing Stream, Wrath of Air
Shaman 2: Stoneclaw, Searing Totem, Healing Stream, Wind Fury
Shaman 3: Stoneclaw, Searing Totem, Healing Stream, Grounding Totem
Shaman 4: Strength of Earth, Searing Totem, Healing Stream, Grounding Totem

I imagine a lot of this will change once the new big patch comes out, which is a whole other subject I need to research. Maybe this thread can be used to gather the upcoming shaman team changes too! :)

Thanks for the help!!

There is no need to use flame tongue totem. There is a tier 5 talent called 'Totemic Wrath' that provides the spellpower buff for every fire totem that you cast. Thus using flame tongue totem over searing is a dps loss.

What zenga said, and I wouldn't bother with stoneclaw if you have a pally tank. Use earthbind or something.

Also, tremor totem is more like a trinket now. So if you get feared, just drop 1 and regroup. I suggest having each shaman's tremor totem on a different keybind

Great, thanks for the feedback! Now that I've got my totems worked out, I'm moving on to figuring how I'm going to handle healing.

Any suggestions? :)

Sorry champ, I do the whole dps with all 4 and pray I take little damage, and when I do take it I either target my pally (i drive from the pally) and manually heal or I have a 2nd keybind on 2 slave which heal my tank (the other 2 keep dpsing). So I'll do like 3 gcds of pure dpsing then 1 gcd of the split dps/healing.

Other people use ISboxer with video feed sharing and click healing though if you want to go pro. I'll let them explain that lol

Sigh, the good ole days. :(
