Hunter as Boosting Toon?

I was wondering would hunter be any good since you can get some really good tanking pets and hunters do hell of alot of damage nowadays and multi shot is great along with some of the other aoe's they have.

What do you guys think?

can be done easy - but depents on how you wanna do it - if it´s just killing - Misdirection (http://www.wowhead.com/spell=34477) and a Gorilla with Thunderstomp http://www.wow-petopia.com/talents/tenacity.html are nice.

Only big thing I can think of is the pet one shotting mobs before you can tag them...... Thus getting no xp for the kill. Might be a little problem in the lower lvl dungeons while mass pulling.

Can always put pet on passive I guess

I'm guessing dropping an aoe trap for mass pulls should tag all mobs but I'm not too familiar with hunters.

I'd do the aoe traps thing, especially at low levels. I'd still drop it into my rotation at higher levels, but lower it can probably do all of your killing.
