I love it!

Went back and watched it again. The first gave me flash backs to the first time Kirk faught a Gorn, and then Enter the Panda ala Jackie Chan style bits. Over all just brilliant! Heck, even the lovely miss F9thRet liked this one.

Can't say that I like it. It's too comical, and comedy doesn't set the stage very well for all of this "war" that we're supposed to be expecting. As much as I defended against the "Kung Fu Panda" haters, I now feel like I can expect Mists of Kung Fu Pandaria. -- A new up-and-coming Disney/Pixar movie.

Not impressed.

What he said. I was expecting epic, instead I got slapstick. I'm waiting for the April Fools. Seriously.

The fixed face panda expressions look horrid, I cannot get past it.

See, I didn't mind the comedy parts so much, as it just felt like a breath of fresh air, after having went to Outland, killing the Lich King, and that big Dragon Critter... Sure the war, and animosity is still there, But I got the feel, of ok, take a deep breath, there is more out there than just this war.

(and Jaina the Traitor <snickers>)

It's all good though, some will like it, some won't.

With the way that Blizzard exponentially inflates stats with each expansion, I would never bet against a level 90 when he was fighting two level 85's. ;)

I thought it looked nice, but I prefer the old "class montages" of tbc and vanilla. The opening does have a War2 feel about it.

I'm glad I wasn't the only person who thought that.

I thought it was fine, and didn't mind the humor.

Favorite wow intro is still Wrath though.

Have seen enough of violent, fire, explosion, etc etc in many trailers. You don't get enough?

Humor is good.

IMO, there is zen teaching in this. More than just meets the eyes.

What game are we playing again?

When Metzen was on stage during the opening ceremony (http://youtu.be/kCdoEfdpgF0?hd=1&t=4m59s) at BlizzCon in 2011, he stressed that there was imminent war on the horizon, and I quote, "At this time, the real enemy... the true villain of the franchise... is going to be war itself." He then continues with, "Red and blue are about to get it on with a level of ferocity that has not been seen since the heavy days of Warcraft two."

Did you feel that ferocity? Did you get a sense of war?

Light'n up Chum! Have you played the beta? There is enough conflict to please any war hardened souls out there. Judge the Trailer for whats it is, and that is a damn great piece of art! And its staying true to two major additions of this expansion, the Monk and The Pandarian. And it wasn't funny funny, ha ha either.. it was a touch of humor and a smart introduction trailer to the "lighter" side of this expansion. There is a lot of war and conflict going on though, trust me!

It's a big deal because I felt it was a let down. Blizzard's cinematics have always been amazing (at least for me), and when I watched the MoP cinematic earlier today..... there was nothin'. It felt like a total cop-out.

I liked it. This isn't the epic war that's coming, it's more like the calm before the storm.
The comedy portion to me shows clearly that the monk isn't fighting in anger; he's happy just chilling, and playing with the strangers who just washed up on shore.

I guess for some it might be a let down, i understand that. For me, having played the beta a lot, and the monk class, I loved the trailer because it was more about the "monk", and so far I am very pleased with the class. They are fun to box, your healer is right in the mix kicking ass with the rest of your team, and healing while doing it.. I cant wait to play 5! ( only have 3 betas ) So far they have been easy to macro as well 8) Although I'm pretty sure I'm not doing it efficiently as it could be. Need some of you ISboxer and Macro Pros to start testing them 8)

Ya I felt let down too. I really wanted it to be hard core horde vs alliance hate.

I totally agree. I liked it myself, watched it a couple more times and was impressed at the quality, the detail from cinematic to in-game was spot on. Sure there wasn't that big ending bad mofo, but there isn't supposed to be. This is the start not the end! :)

Thought it was pretty good cgi, maybe they are letting us in on their plans to allow players to box horde and alliance together...was the first thing I thought of when the human handed the orc a weapon.

My favorite is still the dwarf hunter and his bear in the first cinematic.

I can agree with this with Wrath coming in a very close second.

I would like to point out that McKayla was not impressed with the MoP cinematic either - http://i.imgur.com/D5zTv.jpg

I see you're point, and I'd argue that this should have been a patch trailer instead of an expansion trailer.

My favourite moment in any of the wow cinematics is the night elf druid running through the forest, jumping over the cliff then turning into a panther... made me roll a druid.

Very, very well-done CGI as is usually the case.

This, plus what MiRai said. IMO, we've gone from the hardscrabble, hating, oops-I-stepped-on-an-elite-DAMNIT-rez, war-to-the-knife, dark, brooding, kill-your-guards-to-spite-you place to this fuzzy, kids-movie theme park. Sure, I'm applying a bit of artistic license in describing it (and yes, not everyone saw wow 1.0 that way) but you get the idea.

I was not impressed and felt that it in no way portrayed what they said it was about at blizzcon. It was a quality trailer, but if it wans't for Vecter holding a gun to my head I probably wouldn't play this xpac. Not because of the quality of the game or content, I just feel no draw or need to play, other than to pwn fat chicks with my friends.

Should have had the fat panda Chen slowly scream out 'Pain.. Agony... You are not prepared!' and then summon an ice dragon from under the ground -- top it off with a scary FIREY dragon landing on them all and roaring.

*Should probably add a bit of seriousness to it heh*
I liked the cinematic, showcased what the expansion was about (I thought so anyway). I can sort of see why some people might have been let down, but apart from showing a little more fighting between the always-peaceful Alliance and the pigHorde.. What else could be done?
The theme is exploration/old hatred between factions isn't it? :D

I'm at a loss with Blizzard. I want Blood & Plunder to be a thing again but eh...

Diablo 3 sucks as well. Bummer!

I'm hesitant to buy into the GW2 koolaid as we always hear the same shit when a new MMO is released. BL2 can't come soon enough!
