So simple question, what do you guys think the best tradeskill for an army of toons in MoP?

Skinning on your whole team, easy to level all 5 toons at once and free crit. Tailoring for your main, so you can see the extra cloth drops easier. Enchanting on one so you can DE the dungeon drops. Engineering on one so you have repair bot. Then mining and herbing on the last two so you can gather everything.

What does skinning on your whole team do for you? Besides the lame crit buff.

Agree. The bonuses for gathering professions are all really weak compared to the bonuses that come from actual crafting professions. And for me, leather has always been the lowest profit out of those gathering professions. I wouldn't call it "free crit" since you're blowing a tradeskill slot that could be used for a powerful bonus.
Now that there's going to be AOE looting, I don't think there's a reason to need tailoring on your main. Just use mouse passing or IWT and let a slave deal with it since you only need to loot one mob to get everything.
You'll probably want an alchemist for those Spirits of Harmony (http://mop.wowhead.com/item=76061)/Motes of Harmony (http://mop.wowhead.com/item=89112) since it looks like those can drop off just about any elemental mob. Those are used to transmute no cooldown Living Steel (http://mop.wowhead.com/item=72104#reagent-for), via Riddle of Steel (http://mop.wowhead.com/spell=130326).
The Spirit of Harmony looks to be the new "all-in-one" elemental, and if it stays BoP you're going to need crafters that can use them (http://mop.wowhead.com/item=76061#reagent-for).
I'm always a fan of Blacksmithing for the nice weapons and shields they usually get to craft, but I also have 3 plate classes on my team which makes it even harder to ignore.
All of my teams always have an enchanter for DEing dungeon drops and quest rewards along the way. Especially since MoP allows the enchanter to transmute mats between dusts (http://mop.wowhead.com/spell=118237), essences (http://mop.wowhead.com/spell=116497) and shards (http://mop.wowhead.com/spell=116498) and back (http://mop.wowhead.com/spell=118239) again (http://mop.wowhead.com/spell=118238). You can even transmute the epic crystal (http://mop.wowhead.com/spell=116499) out of normal mats once a day.
Engineering is a pretty lackluster profession in most people's eyes. Most people use it for PvP for the extra burst from the rockets and such, it's not really a PvE profession. At least not for a boxer. I think repair bots are overrated with the introduction of LFG and subsequently the ability to instantly port in and out of dungeons at will for repairs, selling, restocking. And out in the wilderness {lol, we do that anymore?} there's the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth (http://mop.wowhead.com/item=44234) and the Grand Expedition Yak (http://mop.wowhead.com/item=84101). Granted, I have engineering on one of my slaves and I did love it in Wrath for the extra AOE from bombs and the Mote Extractors in BC and Wrath, but I didn't use it for anything in Cata and it doesn't look like there's much to use it for in MoP either. It's a real whore to level for such little utility.
While leveling, use whatever you want, keeping in mind the stuff you might need later and the bonus XP on herbs and ore. You're never going to keep up with your tradeskills considering the speed of leveling. You might even have a hard time of keeping gathering skills caught up to your level. The only profession I ever actually concern myself with while leveling is enchanting, since those mid-range mats are expensive. I ship off all my cloth to a tailor alt and make stuff to DE as I go. Sometimes I use a skinner and make leather stuff to DE too.
But if you're thinking max level, you'll probably want to go with as many actual crafting skills as you can for the extra bonuses and relegate at least a few of the gathering skills to a secondary group once you're done leveling via quests.

I have engineering on my main Hunter for DPS Boost of the Synapse Springs, which is only a 1 Min CD and gives me very minute 480 agi for 10 secs, every min.
+ Leather Working for the +130 Agi to Gloves, but that toon is used in main raids as well as in my boxing set.
Shammys nearly all had JC + Chanting for the x5 or so too mass prospect and also make jewerlley and de etc
Mages x5 all had Alchemy for the xmute of truegold back then...
My other x4 Hunters, all 4 will have inscripting, finishing them off, and 1-2 Alchemy, 1 Tailoring and other enchanting.
Only reason why they all will have inscripting is because the darkmooon cards will sell for tonnes of gold and they have a cool down now using a spirit of harmony so instead of making 1 selected card a day I can make x4, or x5 cause my Rogue has inscripting too. And hunters will be the first I level with a druid.
I want the new JC Mount!!
Druid is a skinner + herber, so its easy to farm herbs at launch like in cata without dismounting, mounting :)
And my DK is Miner + Engineering, Priest is Enchant + Engineer and my addiitonal locks and 1 extra mage have no profs as of yet still.
Once I was thinking to level multiple miners or herbalists. Sounds very silly, but I think that'd be the fastest way to gather ores or herbs, even without moving the characters at all.
I don't know how to explain this right but in theory, I think that small zones are linked together when it comes to herb/ore spawns.
If one big zone contains 200 herb or ore spawns, then divide the big zone to 40 small zones, so there are 5 spawn points on a small zone.
If you pick a herb, then the new one will spawn inside that small zone. If you have toons sitting on each different spawn point on same zone, you might end up having great amount of herbs in your bags in no-time.
I noticed this when farmed Azshara's Veil in Shimmering Expanse, the herbs usually spawned a tad different position where you recently picked one.

I'm power leveling inscription on multiple teams who just reached 85 and had no profs at all. As mentioned, darkmoon cards should bring in a lot of gold and the faire is only a couple of weeks after launch. You get the shoulder enchant, which saves you from having to grind rep. It is also one of the cheapest professions to lvl and is easy to power lvl since you can swap inks. Also, check out the boa staves and the other new items that were added to inscription.
My Beeqs are all engineers, but I think it's the most useless profession ever or atm at least.
Jeeves' were fun, but not really needed, Synapse Springs doesn't really stack with anything, Electrostatic Consender profit is very minimal and requires gathering prof or skinning..
Even when one of the mages die, I have 4x Gnomish Army Knives for resurrecting and believe or not, sometimes all these 4 knives fail and corpserun awaits for the fallen mage.
Alchemy would've been still awesome if there were any cooldowns left.. My DK and 4 shamans maxed Transmute Master Alchemy month or two back.. Though now I have 60+ Truegolds but no buyers. Pretty sure it's RNG, but usually none of the toons get mute procs, but one day four of them got x2. Casting Truegold craft always at the same second on all these toons, but I think it was just a coincidence ;) Had x5 once yay.. :P
Inscription would really be a great option, for the DM cards and the daily Glyph findings. Though the reputation might still be needed at Revered for the Valor stuff, so grinding to Exalted wouldn't be so bad. I actually just made Therazane related quests and then ran dungeons with their tabard and bam x5 exalted in no-time.
I think Jewelcrafting would be great to have on multiple toons. So you could use the daily tokens for different designs.. but oh god that leveling and not even being draenei for +15 boost :F

Guess we need to know the objectives of the OP. Is he hoping to max out his damage or hoping to make lots of gold.
I'm still going to level up skinning on every toon of mine no matter how much you all tease me. Its completed by all 5 toons while you're leveling up, little extra effort at all. Unlike the farming or gold required with other professions. And since normally you wouldn't max out professions on all toons, at least right away, the crit from skinning is a great placeholder.

money from leather isn't great, but its also the one where you have the most control over how much you gather, due to not having to necessarily fight for it like with mining and herbs. Sure areas where theres a specific type of leather might be farmed, but generally you can always find a spot to farm away and get some good xp and money rolling in if your sick of the normal grind.

Really I was looking for a max daily gold supply. I currently do the daily transmute and was looking for something that would replace that. I have all 5 accounts with every toon at 80 or higher but some have no trades yet.
I have every trade on the currently trained characters and just not sure what to level on the rest to make a daily flow of gold with minimum effort ;)

Leather worker is great to have, the pvp items sell for lots all through xpac.
JC will make loads of gold at start of xpac, as gems will sell for very large amounts, especially now its a new xpac and new Raid Finder... for loads and loads of people to get through for some time and then all alts, and alts of alts as well...
Im just going to hammer the inscripting as ive planned for it, to make an extra tonne of gold with DMF for a while, then maybe slowly sink back into prospecting and deing x5 if i feel i want/need more gold. Overall be to busy at start levelling main, alts and a herber, farming, gearing and doing it all over again slower on rest of the scrub toons :P
I'm having all my characters get max engineering because the new stuff coming out looks just damn fun, and having the ability for a paladin, shammies and a priest to go invisible is nice, too.

Invis? WoW! Stuff like that normally cant be used in BGs or gets uber nerfed somehow. Is eng getting new mounts this time? i know the JC mounts look bad ass!
I was thinking of making my 5 Alchs> JCs as well...but might make them eng. and one of my other teams all JCs+eng
I don't think you can use it in PvP but I haven't tested it since I'm lazy. It's mostly just that I enjoy having a bunch of situational gadgets that can be useful and fun to play with.
