I LOVED WoTLK 5 man heroics, any hope for MoP??

Just got done getting worked by General Husan in Lost City...

I remember reading from MMO-Champion that MoP heroics are easy as in WotLK-easy, so thumbs up!

WotLK were my favorite to box..once its just a badge grind, i like them easy. PvP is where the challenge is fun for me. But to each their own. They are doing the challenge modes for people who like it hard and rough!

I actually prefer the Heroics to be difficult, but at launch the Cata heroics were retarded difficult. I could only clear half of them, so I found myself coming and going from my computers to keep queuing to get a heroic that I could actually run (like SFK). I like a challenge, but the Cata heroics went too far.

Speaking of which, I've been trying to understand the grind to LFR for MoP. If anyone has details, please speak up. So far I have gathered that the cap is still 1000 valor/week, 3000 max cap, and valor points can be spent to upgrade the ilvl of an item up to 3 times. See MMO-Champion front page today for the Valor of the Ancients Buff which shows some jpgs:
http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/

The new buff is a good thing, but it doesn't help me too much since I mainly play 5, although I have other alts in the wings which almost make up a 2nd 5-man so this will save me some time. Overall this game needs to get a little less grindy. I hope Blizzard learned their lesson from D3 Inferno mode.

What is not clear to me yet is exactly how you earn valor. It looks like it is primary heroics still, but I'm not sure how:
http://mop.wowhead.com/currency=396#reward-from-q:0+1+2

If you notice, there's a "1st" daily and "Nth" daily which reward different amounts. Of course you can also do challenge modes, scenarios, and various quests for lesser amounts.

I have also not seen the minimum ilvl requirement for heroic dungeons or LFR, so perhaps that hasn't been published yet. Normally at the start of an Xpac I spend as much time planning my path as I do actually playing. It would be good to get a jump start.

Wow, some interesting info... my hope is renewed!

I like challenging heroics to, like Forge of Souls/Pits of Saron challenging

Shadow Monastary is re-vamped for MoP! That sounds exciting!

its not the bosses in cata that all the probs for us its the the trash that been made a lot easier hc's are easy but it does come with gear. (more gear easier they are ike wotlk)

There on level with WOTLK and the new 3 hc's they added in cata av manged to take 5 warlocks and just about do a few bosses. but all trash is easy :)

Then you got challenge modes i can not even get passed the trash. i can see a few boxers doing them though.

For me it was the bosses in cata that were the road blocks and still are the hardest part. With p pal + 4 e shams I could cc to the max trash packs.

How many heroics is MOP launching with, the trend of the last two expansions is discouraging:

BC Launched with 15 (added 1 later)
Wrath Launched with 12 (added 4 later)
Cata Launched with 9 (added 5 later)

"For me it was the bosses in cata that were the road blocks and still are the hardest part. With p pal + 4 e shams I could cc to the max trash packs."

Yeah but if it takes you half an hour just to get to a boss how excited are you going to be to do it each day until you can beat that boss?

I'm definitely on the TRASH WAS TOO DAMN HARD wagon. (I mean ZA... WTF were they thinking... oh yeah I remember it was "we're too lazy to release a real patch so we're going to just over tune these two 5 mans to let you do 5 man "progression").
