Hey All,

So I'll try to make this as easy as possible... I'm a clicker, (hate me all you want) and I enjoy the play style. I just recently did recruit-a-friend and downloaded ISboxer to duel box. (My 1st time duel boxing so total noob to it.) I'm duel boxing a pally and a mage and everything is working great with keybindings but not at all with mouse clicks. I did a ton of research and have come up short on what my problem is or how to make it so I can attack with both toons via mouse clicking. I even posted a thread on ISboxer's forums but its just not that active.

I did come across this... http://isboxer.com/wiki/WoW:Auto-assisting_Action_Bars_via_clicking, via help from someone on the ISboxer forums and followed the instructions to the T. I have the window up and over all my action bars. Its even covering the menus bar. This is the interesting part... When I select a target with the pally (main screen) and click an attack, the pally attacks but the mage does not. I can see the mouse pointer pop up on the second screen and it is in the exact place im clicking on the main screen. The mage doesn't assist in any way though. But if I click an option on the menus bar (example: dungeon finder) the window pops up on both screens. So I believe my problem has something to do with assist, not the actual mouse clicks.

I did make a temporary macro for the mage (/assist pally's name) and it does work this way but is very inconvenient to have to click that button before every pull. Half the time when I tab target or am pulling while running its hard to click it or it just doesn't react and the mage just ends up chillin.

Is there any way to make it so the mouse works as crisp as using the keyboard? I just want to click a target, click an attack, and BOOM! epic pally/mage dps.

Any help and advice is much appreciated. Even if there is a better duel boxing program out there for clickers. I just am having a lot of fun duel boxing but would like to be able to click.

Thanks in advance and feel free to ask any questions if you need more details. I'll do my best to answer them.

Basically, not going to happen. You can make an exceedingly complicated click-based boxing setup, but honestly, it's going to work like crap. You're not going to get any use out of ISBoxer's auto assist, clicking is WAY slower than keybinds, and you're begging for issues to arise.

Learn to use keybinds. Seriously. Once you get set up, you're probably only going to have like 3 keys that you spam and a handful more that you use occasionally. It's not that hard to get used to that many keys.

Sorry, not what you wanted to hear, but I'm not going to lie to you.

Well I appreciate your honesty... Well then can I ask you for a site or something to help me learn keybinding the best way?

Practice is the best way to learn to use keybindings. Start with a couple of keys at a time and just plop yourself in front of a training dummy and practice, practice, practice. Eventually you'll develop muscle memory for the keys and they will become second nature.

You'll need to figure out the best key binds for YOU. It's just a matter of personal preference.

Here's some examples of how I have all of my characters set up:
The abilities without key binds are ones I'm testing / trying to find a better key bind.

Solution to the original issue with assisting here (http://isboxer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2617).

Alge did solve my problem and I am able to click while duel boxing. However, I do know that the day will come where I should keybind more. So I thank the both of you for the input and I will take your advice and start to practice keybinding more often. And thanks again Alge for all your help. You made ISboxer worth every penny to me.

On a related note, I'd highly suggest using the home row for your default starting point. Lots of people use WASD but you can do the same thing with ESDF with the added benefit that your fingers start in the same position as when touch-typing. I made this switch from WASD back in '94 and it's been awesome.

Man... I want to swap to ESDF so bad but... it's too hard. :(

I did it partly because of the "home row advantage" but mostly because of STUPID CAPSLOCK! Back in the day, the most annoying thing was accidentally hitting capslock and neutering your movement keys until you figured out what you'd done. Friend of mine went so far as to remove all the capslock keys from his keyboards and melted them in a pyre of gunpowder. His hatred for accidental capslock was borderline pathological. :p

Yeah I'm so used to using WSAD and changing back to the home row, it'd be too weird for me to switch to ESDF. I'd keep going back to WASD

When I needed to force myself to switch I just put a little piece fof tape on my "e" key for my finger to find.

People hate me for accidental caps locking more than i hate doing it. I get laugh at how pissed people get when you caps lock and they think your yelling at them. example . i log in and accidentally hit caps lock while getting my toons in order and such. I then announce to the guild " HEY EVERYONE! HOW ARE YOU DOING TODAY?" even though that is a friendly greeting... people picture me screaming it at them and type back "Hi lyon.. STOP YELLING!!!"

I have one but I don't use it, there are always a couple of keys on the outer edges that I mis-press. I'm happy with my G15 (G510) and G500.

For a "clicker" trying to move to a key bind system I would suggested a G15.
