Before that homer guy came along...

I left off multi-boxing to 2200 in 5's
Dual-boxing to 2350 in 3's
Single boxing to 2487 on a single box character on Illidan

Highest 3 man personal rating: 2,389

Highest 3 man personal rating: 2,353

Highest 3 man personal rating: 2,285

Highest 3 man personal rating: 2,302

Highest 3 man personal rating: 2,487

Highest 5 man personal rating: 2,201

From my 5 dks, 4 on sargeras 1 on illidan. I'm proud of how well i did this season, even if I did better last season. I plan on re-rolling for MoP and going for quad glad again on either bloodlust or ruin.

Did you get as high as you'd have liked?

Lets keep this civil please.

Broke 2.4k in rbg's as ele, in arena I couldn't achieve what I wanted though.

I wish I had but Svpernova failed to carry me. Perhaps in MoP, although I might just do all the other stuff instead.

Grats on your Cata ratings though!

I only did rbgs to like 2200 a few times with friends for fun, nothing too serious.

Easy as hell way to get 2200 gear though if you know a few decent players with half a brain.

Well even easier if you know a few decent players with half a brain who know how to (what I call) exploit the mmr system. I got 2.2k in like 10 games or something. Having no mmr myself while being on par with them was the only reason why I got a spot in their team (as they were bringing their alts to 2.2k).

Yeah, they were doing a carry for someone when i hit 2200 as well. Its kinda stupid.

Numbers(rating) in wow means nothing(minus t2), absolutely nothing except maybe to the individual and even then they are deluding themselves. With the current ability to get all the arena achievements including the 2700(3s) achievement at lvl 70 which is impossible at 85 atm. Less not forget rbgs which is so easy to boost people its not even funny, you only need 2 people with 2400 and you can boost 9 people to 2200 by trading against 1 other player who is the only one who joins. Didnt get your trading team? ok, fine join with one of the lowbie mmr's, let the other team win 0 points and q back up until they get tired of it an break apart. So fricken easy its sad, lots of money to be made though. Look for the end of season to be full of ddos and wintrades. Ladders are a joke, play for fun, money(I call it beer money) or both.

This is pretty much what killed Arena and RBGs for me. It stopped being fun, I stopped playing. More Alts.

Getting queues in 70s bracket or 80s bracket is very hard to do past 2300 (a friend tried). The MMR system is screwed up for sure especially in rbgs. But numbers do mean something.

We're all aware I was ddosed in the past for beating top players, so thats why i havn't touched arena on my main battlegroup since that happened.

Getting queues at 70 is as easy as setting up several teams to wintrade at 70 with the objective of getting the 2700 achivement in 3s, just because your friend couldnt do it doesnt mean its not rampant. Your numbers may mean something to you which is fine and was part of my earlier post. Your numbers dont mean anything to anyone else but you and most see making threads about it as a plea for attention.

You could of easily put in the body of your post that you did or didnt hit your personal pvp goals and give an open ended question for others. Why do you think anyone gives a fuck about your numbers? You do this in almost every pvp thread. You're not a special snowflake, but for dialogue sake please tell us why numbers mean something in this game(other than receiving T2). With all the cheating, exploiting, wintrading, boosting, carrying, feeding, sniping, plioting going in this game. Please for the love of god tell me how your numbers or anyones numbers should mean anything to anybody.

Just a friendly reminder: Talking about the existence of exploits is fine. Talking about HOW to exploit is a no no. When in doubt, think about botting. We all know it's done, most of us know HOW it's done, but we don't talk about how it's done here. It's all about keeping multiboxing legit and not giving any potential Forum Hero any ammunition against Multiboxing.

If you have any direct questions or need to ask if a subject is ok to post about, please let a mod/admin know.

@ Fat tire (regardless of shodokan's post)

Numbers might have lost value due to all the manipulation and the mmr screw up in the early cata seasons, as well as they might have lost epeen value within the pvp community. But in the end a number now is no different from what it used to be in the past, it's just a number. That's pretty much how the whole achievement system is designed. Once you have obtained a certain number/achievement, it becomes less attractive; as it's no longer a goal. There are still a good bunch of people out there who try to pursue that number goal, and for them it's a milestone when they reach it. That's pretty much the only importance.

Peer pressure and social value are everywhere in WoW, and are basically irrelevant. Back then and now.

Not sure if you are just confirming what I said in my post or are refuting it. Numbers are irrelevant to everyone but the individual player, with all the ways to cheat they can be seen no other way.

You connect cheating with numbers no longer being relevant. I say they never have been relevant except for setting individual goals. A 2.2k player is in the eye of the masses a god, whereas he is a noob in the eyes of a rank 1 player.

That is not what I said. I said cheating in its many forms has made numbers irrelevant no matter who views them outside of the individual player even then the individual is deluding themselves. That bold statement is just wow, you must be trolling. The system is rigged anyone and I mean anyone can reach any rating they wish to achieve with just a little bit of money. We dont know if shodo didnt cheat, we dont know if you didnt cheat, we dont know if anyone doesnt cheat. I have admitted that I have traded, krush traded and many of the people who see high rated players as gods(seriously wtf)....cheated outright or in some form. Number of high profile players got banned for doing pilot sells, most of them just leveled again or bought accounts and started right back up again only this time more careful. Why would the masses look at a 2.2k or any rating as a god when most likely it was gained illegitimately, lol. This has been going on since S1, it is not a new thing.

Should make a comp for the person to get the highest number of hks in a wsg, seeing as the max you can get is a tad over 500

Again, you say cheating has made numbers irrelevant, i'm saying that numbers have always been irrelevant due to the stupidity of many wow players. I am not arguing that it's completely retarded that players look up against other players who have 'high numbers/achievements'. It might be just in Europe, but if you join a bg in T2 gear you get very often comments like 'wow sick gear' ... a good portion of the players treats you like a king all in a sudden. The same is true for pve. If you join a pug / random hc in full BiS gear or with a fancy title, you get exactly the same. Again I completely agree that such behaviour is utterly stupid, but it's wide spread. It's stupid behaviour regardless from the cheating/boosts. Even if this was a cheat free game and the ladders would reflect actual skill, it would still be stupid behaviour to be in shock and awe when you see someone with high rating/fancy titles.

As to explain that behaviour, I think you need social science experts for that. It's not something that only happens in wow, you see that everywhere online and in the real world. Greedyglobin was a blog covering this topic (he now moved to EVE online) and referred to those people as M & S, morons & slackers. Well I'm not gonna worry about why they exists or what their motivations are, I'll just take as much advantage of them as I possibly can. If x wants a boost and offers a reward that I value, he is more than welcome.

Note: it might be that I'm wording my PoV wrong in English, but I agree with you completely, but just go a step further.

This made me laugh remembering the time when I had the fanciest title you could get on my server ("<vodka>") and the way that I couldn't do a single group of any kind without someone commenting on it.

I think you guys are being too harsh on shodokan though. He's mentioning his ratings because he's proud of them, so presumably he earned them rather than cheating his way. The existence of cheaters in the system doesn't diminish accomplishment earned the old fashioned way. The fact that one kid cheats his way to a 1600 on the SAT doesn't diminish the accomplishments of those who did it honestly.

Theres some things I want to say regarding cheating, but i don't want this to turn into a flame war and get this locked. The drama was already gone through and it can be left on AJ, everyone that PVPs seriously knows what I'm talking about though.

I agree 100% though.

There is no way for him or anyone to prove they "did it the old fashioned way" that is the crux of my argument.

Theres no way to prove god exists either.

If you are going to question everyones' ethics in gaming competitively then maybe play something like LoL where its nearly impossible to cheat the system?

You seriously just made the jump from wow pvp to God. Unreal. Wait do you mean wow gods or real God? Zenga said 2.2k players are viewed as gods by the masses. Do you consider yourself a god?

The point is still valid. With anything there is no proof of you can instantly assume things to be either for or against it depending on your personality. I tend to believe people don't exploit to the fullest unless i have proof like win traders and such.

I view myself as a small fish in the ocean because even if i do well being a multiboxer to 90% of the high rated pvpers makes me scum, regardless if i'm good or not.

I'm not a god, but i did get quad glad standings last season dual-boxing 3s so if you want a narcicistic viewpoint on it i guess i'm the big fish in this small pond but even if thats the case i don't get the respect of most people here or outsiders... so either way it doesn't matter.

He doesn't need to prove it. It's enough for him to come to his community and say "hey guys I'm proud of this". We're not hiring him for a job based on this information nor admitting him to Harvard (to return to my SAT analogy). This was supposed to be a thread about whether people had accomplished what they set out to accomplish this season and are happy with their performance as multiboxers.

1800 peak with shaman team but I started at 1500 and only 21 games done, I might do a video this season because I did very well against non firemage 2k+ teams but I'm rather planning on making a movie about how desperatly it is for multiboxers to deal with firemage teams ... and I really tried hard but this time (compared to season 8) no macro adaption/other playstyle helped

You wont get respect because no one gives a shit. Its arbitrary numbers in a video game composed of tons of cheaters. lol respect /yawn

I must have missed where you posted on AJ(which has a terrible community btw), unless you posted in the waiting room, but that doesnt make sense.

Posting numbers, posting videos, posting any type of achievement or screenshot... they're all useless because this is a site about multiboxing video games.

I'll let Lax know we should just shut the site down.

I did not hit my pvp goals this season, I probably wont hit them until the last week of the season as usual, although this season has been a cluster so I might decide to skip it. But what I am really proud of is the 7k I made helping a few people progress their wow pvp career. They seemed pretty proud of their achievements also. I was happy to help them, made me feel good inside.

I start these threads because this place is fucking DEAD. Excuse me for giving a fuck about other people's achievements and how they are doing in comparison to what they expected or wanted.

Attacking my self esteem and confidence? I'm fine in both departments and have a very nice life with a decent job, hobbies I enjoy, some really good friends and a fiancee (as of last night). So I really don't see it.

Where do you get off belitteling my accomplishments by the way? If this community wanted me gone and my narcicistic nature or however you percieve it... then I'll gladly just leave, but you don't speak for everyone.
