Tried out 4x Wizards, wanted to give a brief overview on it. Went with the current flavor of the month build Critical Mass / Wicked Wind. Essentially you get your critical rate up high enough that your main 3 abilities ( Frost Nova / Diamond Skin / Explosive Blast are always up and you just spam them over and over.
It is a fun build and similar to the Witch Doctors with massive stun/freeze on hit, the frost nova's do the same thing, in melee range.

Without spending a ton of gold though it just does not put out the DPS I've come used to on my monks, or from videos I've seen of Witch Doctors or Barbarians. At this point, save yourself the 1-60 grind on this class and try a different one :)

Can you post your monks stats (I'm only 2 boxing but stuck in ACT II) and builds? And what skills you put on round robin?

I generally sit in act 1 on my monks and farm it up. Although I'd like to tap into the act 3 department, I don't think this is the class for it.
Highest DPS unbuffed is 33k and lowest is 23k.
All use the heal, 3 use serenity on round robin, 1 uses cyclone. All use Exploding Palm till they fix the loot trick. Next slot is Mantra. Main attack is Crippling Wave ( use a different rune on each to maximize it's effects, last is sweeping Wind, but I use to use Inner Sanctuary on round robin.

At the moment I am leaning towards Barbarian as the preferred pick, although I think their damage might be slightly nerfed, not sure if I can stomach leveling up another set of characters.

I regularly team up with crit stun lock wizards to farm act3. I find them quite OP. So how can they do lower damage than monks though. They don't have immunity so might die more frequent. have you tried using 1 wizard to add that sphere thing + 20% damage. Stuff die so fast in it. Also the damage is capped by arcane power. So the more arcane power on crit you have the better, + 10 on weapon, + 10 on helm, having both is the best.

The only thing was their play style is a little weird. Without a direct projectile or melee hit, it felt like not engaged enough in the battle. Vs monk's palm exploding in mobs face, monk is much better.
