So I've been 4 boxing Hunters. lotro is a huge slowdown compared to WoW boxing. I'm using the standard client with lowest settings on all 4 toons. I went and turned up the main toon to the recommended settings, and it didn't seem to have much of a system impact. With windows / putty / ISboxer / 4x lotro I'm running about 6gigs of ram. The client seems to be really clunky and slow. It's really hard to break follow, however there's some snapping here and there that looks like lag, but not sure if it actually is. The system certainly isn't lagging. I've had to significantly / stop my key spamming. I'm very deliberate in using my abilities. Not sure if the input lag or general slowness of the client is due to something I'm doing wrong, or if it's just how the game is. But so far it seems to be fun.

Did you play it when it first came out? i have not played the FTP version yet. I liked the game, but all my friends went back to WoW. I would have stayed had a few of them stuck around. I just two boxed it. I had a champ and minstrel. Champs are the ae masters and I thought i was cool having a melee/tank class be able to do mad AE.

I played a solo minstrel to about level 14 or so at release, but haven't touched it since.

IT's been a year or two, since I last tried it with ISboxer, and with 4 gig of ram, I knew it wasn't near enough. Seems like 3 accounts was the best I could do at the time. So I'm thinking, 1 gig per client, maybe more, and 1 gig for system, ISB, etc. etc.

It is a gorgeous game though.

I'm boxing 5 hunters, currently level 70.

I have 12gbs RAM, main toon is Ultra High Graphics and slaves are Low Graphics, and I'm running it all fine. Maybe turn off post-processing in advanced graphics on the main toon, that'll save ALOT of system resources.

Chubbz is the man to know here. He helped me out with the game a few years back.
