View Full Version : [ISBoxer] Neat things to do with repeater regions?
Right now, I only really use repeater regions in order to enable mouse over/click thru healing, and they are fabulous for that.
What I am wondering, however, is if there are other interesting uses people have for repeater regions with ISBoxer that go beyond that that they would care to share? I have to imagine that there are some really creative uses people have figured out.

I know the title says ISBoxer, but I'm sure at least some of the ideas can be translated into ISBoxer setups.
I use HotKeyNet's version of Repeater for {clicky images open large images, blog links go to the better breakdown of how I set it up}-

Rezzing - just like healing, but rezzes. I have it set up so that if I use the button in combat over a party frame, my healer will cast Riptide {for on the move top-ups} on that toon if they are alive. At the same time, my DK will cast Raise Ally if the toon is dead. Out of combat, anyone who can rez will try to rez the mouseover so I'm never stuck waiting for one toon to get enough mana back to rez everyone. And again, if the target I mouse over is alive, my healer will cast Riptide for topups.
Setting up CC - Main chooses a target, I mouse over the appropriate party frame and hit F4 or F5 {one is humanoids, the other for elementals/undead} and that toon assists, marks and focuses the target. After moving down the list, I move the mouse away from the region and hit the button again and everyone casts their CC.
Curing - I have multiple regions laid out to basically mimic Decursive, except it sends the "cure" commands to the appropriate toon instead of just the main. I also have the placement set up so that the curing load is split between anyone who can fix said ailment. This makes curing faster and saves mana by splitting the responsibility.
Anti-Casting - Region that triggers round robin stuns/silences/interrputs
Purge - pretty self-explanatory. Purge on RR so I can spread out the mana cost.
Cooldowns - Blows all my long or short cooldowns.
Procs - I have all my procs set up to show as buffs in Pitbull. Mousing over the buffs as they appear sends the command to that toon to spend the appropriate proc.

Resources - I have mouseover regions set up over my slave minimap on all the slaves that can track things. This way, I can mouse over the minimap on the slave screen where ever there is a tracking dot and hit Home {it's a Naga button}. That slave then pings the minimap so I can instantly see exactly where that resource is on my main's minimap for faster, easier gathering.

Item Compare - This is a new one that isn't so much regions as taking advantage of making my mouse repeating "Stick". I use a key to send the mouse repeat + shift down command to every window as I mouse over a loot window, which makes the item comparison keep showing on every window, then I pop some PiP regions and swap the whole thing into the middle of my main's screen, so I have a simple at-a-glance item comparison of the drop for everyone instead of having to compare one toon at a time. Clicking the window that shows the best upgrade automatically swaps to that screen for looting and equipping. Once I get back into boxing WoW, I'll tweak it out to be fully region-controlled instead of key-triggered.
I really like the idea of using the mouse over repeater regions for cc - right now I have been using a system where the tank targets and then I use a round-robin to step through setting the target as focus, but I have an idea for something that might be a bit more convenient based on what you said. Thanks for the ideas, Khatovar.
