So I thought maybe we could start a chat about what people's setups are and how class compliment each other. Constructive criticism about how I or others are setup is welcome.

Level 52 now I have

Paladin
D / H Priest
S Priest
Des Warlock
Fire Mage

Starting off I have imp spirit buff for my priest, which also increases spell damage based on spirit for the whole party. I look to equip my characters with damage/crit int/spirit items, I haven't chose any items for stamina. I get BoK from paladin, imp fortitude and imp bloodpact which gives my party a nice boost of stamina.

Shadow priest has VE, VT, .. tops up the casters health bars nicely for non direct attacks (burning auras etc..) Misery increases damage from all damage dealers by 5%, also has the shadowweave spell which increases shadow damage from priest and shadowbolts from warlock

Warlock uses curse of elements a immolate and corruption, curse of elements increases damage from immolate and mage's fire spells. Shadowbolt can cause 20% extra shadow damage which also helps shadow priest.

Fire Mage starts off with imp scorch x 3 which happens whilst the priest and warlock are dotting, then moves to fireball. Imp scorch increases immolate and mage's fire damage.

I get buffs

underwater breathing, invisibility detection
shadow prot, stam buff, 2 x fear ward, spirit buff
paladin bok, bos etc..
int buff

I also get paladin's divine intervention, and soulstone from warlock - to help recover from wipes quicker.
fade x 2 and ice block helps drop aggro on casters.

that's what i can think off my head!

I run Paladin, Priest, Mage, Shaman, Boomkin. They get a +3 spell hit, +8 spell crit, and other buff synergy (wrath of air, tremor totem, Mana spring, Fort, Spirit, Wild, Int, etc). At 70, the Druid, Mage, Shaman all float at around 800-1k DPS, though this isn't optimal as I could fiddle with spell order to up it a bit. The priest hits around 400 DPS, bringing total group to about 3k DPS, Pally tank usually floating around 800-1200 TPS.

Wow-
with all those different classes, your UI must be a nightmare ^^ I must admit i do love trying to work out the best combination of classes for the 'perfect' group. Anyhoo.. i just started a about a week ago and i didnt want to over complicate thhings so i started with:

1 X pally tank / 3 x aff locks / 1 x holy priest.

The pally tank takes less micro-mgt than a warrior would, and is also shield friendly. The locks give me a lot more CC options than just a mage would. The priest is without a doubt the best 5 man group healer imo, he is also the one that requires the least micro-mgt and has the ability to pre-heal with shields etc. The 3x soulstone is very nice. If the sh*t hits the fan and my pally dies, i can rez him, heal, re-buff and re-soulstone him without ever having to switch to another char. I know im a little short on buffs (a mage + druid would help) but as this is my first team, i have designed around being easy to manage and not too complex so i can ease into it. The only real downside is that both the pally and the locks have quite a lot of quest related skills for pets and mounts ect but i can live with it.
